I do cardio 50 to 60 minutes 6 times a week and lift/squats 6x a week and I do a cardio dvd 4x a week. I workout a lot but I like it. I have a goal to lose 70lbs and have lost 25 so I have a long way to go.

Recent guidelines recommend much smaller weight gains for normal size women and almost none for overweight and a loss for obese women but your doc should guide you. Actually ( I was a cholesterol nurse at a big hospital for years), the best thing you can do to increase your HDL (good cholesterol) is exercise (cardio) esp walking. Good oils, nuts help but cardio is best. Also avoid excessive vitamin E. It is imperative to get it greater than 50 if you can and higher if possible.

One thing I have found is to take a biotin supplement (b vitamin). It really keeps my hair soft, shiny and healthy esp with so much abuse from exercise, cutting calories, all the washing.

I lost a bunch of weight several years ago and maintained up until a year ago. A year ago I gave up diet pop to try to be healthier. What happened? I gained a ton of weight because I was drinking tons of other stuff with calories. When I have a diet pop, I have no desire to eat other crap. I say keep drinking.

The side effect you are having from Topamax is rare but happens in some people. It will eventually slow down and your appetite will normalize but it may take several months. Giant lie. It is a fat laden product compared to other forms of protein but it does not slow your metabolism. Where do people get this stuff?

How about increasing your fiber intake? It is a filling and good way to aid weightloss? That and good protein.

Loss of estrogen and testosterone as we get older. It is a bummer! I could drop weight easily in the past, not anymore.

If it is cooked right, it is supposed to be a little crunchy. It is not the same as white rice. If it is gummy, you cooked it too long.

I did 500 last night. Going to do 200 tonight. I think I will have to have some kind of log to keep up with how many I have done.

I will do it. I am behind so I will work at catching up tonight. I should have 400 done by today so maybe I will aim to do 200 tonight, 200 tomorrow and Wed and then I will be caught up.
