Question about updating weight loss

When you update your weight loss does the app automatically change your calorie intake? Would you need to change your starting weight for that?

Pretty new around here. Thanks in advance.

Yes. I believe it does change your goals based on what you enter as your current weight, which is updated when you log a loss.

Hopefully a better answer comes around, just in case I'm wrong...but I think that every 10 pounds you lose, MFP will ask you if you want to readjust your calorie goal...but I'm not positive. If it doesn't, you can always go into your goal settings and update it while being guided by the site, or manually.

No, it does not update it automatically. Click on Settings-> update diet/fitness profile. It will show your current weight and current settings. Then Update profile. I do this every so often and it takes away the Calories as I lose. Hope that helps : )

You need to do that but it does ask every 10 lbs.

NOPE it does not automatically update your daily calorie total to reflect your weight loss. Every 5 lbs loss I have gone in and changed my activity level from Sedentary to Active, saved, then I went back and changed it back to sedentary and saved. My calorie total allowance then dropped. When I started MFP I was able to eat 100+ more calories than I am currently allotted. =(
  • Ah! I see. Thank you for your timely answer. Thanks everyone!
