  • Try figuring your daily metabolic rate using a calculator online, thats how I set my net calorie goal? But sitting = sedentary so I would not count that unless you are always running errands at work!
  • I think cardio is a must to burn away fat. I try to do my cardio in the morning before I eat breakfast - remember to drink a LOT of water too! Also, I am not a big fan of running/elipticals but have found that I don't mind the stationary bike set on medium resistance for at least 40 minutes. I try reading most of the…
  • Coconut oil actually has the 'good fat' and a lot of doctors, mine included, are staying to stay away from olive oil because it turns into a bad fat when cooked. Haven't done research myself, but I know all the other fruits/berries/nuts are good to go! May not be cause you to lose fat immediately but I'm sure they help…

I still haven't figured out exactly what lightly active in comparison to other categories is - I work out probably once a day for at least 10 minutes and do 45 minutes of cardio every other day, how would that be described? I upped the calorie goal and am going to try weighing in every friday morning…

Also, measure everything! My weight has changed up and down, but my measurements all around have gone down - and thats what other…

  • Hey everyone, I am kind of new to the MFP app.. anyways. I am 5'4'' and weigh between 118-120 pounds. I have my net calorie goal at 1200 per day to lose 2 pounds a week. At first I was not eating back any of the exercise calories and dropped like five pounds, but I quickly realized that it was muscle mass being lost. So, I…
