  • According to ifinance, I spent $840 in August, $947 in July and $799 in June at grocery stores. However, I also buy non food items (laundry soap, paper napkins, etc) at grocery stores, so that's not all food cost. But those figures don't count the cash I use at farmer's markets... I try to stay around $800/month in food…
  • I was born and raised in SoCal, currently living in Italy. I'll be moving back to San Diego around Christmas time this year.
  • I think the biggest thing that made me gain the most recent 24lbs was a combination of daily hot fires and ginger soda. Probably about half of that was water weight from being so bloated and swollen from the insane amounts of sodium in the hot fires.
  • I still smoke (and drink) The drinking I try to only partake in once or twice a week and I try to keep it to just 1-3 drinks. The smoking, well, I know I need to quit but I guess I just haven't come to that point that I can yet. I have 'clicks' too and that's how it was for changing my diet. It just clicked. That is also…
  • I can say from experience, DON'T just throw the eggplant in the blender and DON'T eat it raw, lol. It really taste terrible raw! I have not found a good way to eat eggplant that doesn't involve salt :/ Also, tomatillos are usually used in Mexican cooking, I make sauce with them. Soooo tasty, wish I could get them in Italy!…
  • I think its pretty easy to eat ~1200 calories a day as long as you're not eating junk food. I usually eat between 1000 and 1300 a day and I'm not hungry at all nor do I feel deprived. My diary is open if anyone wants to look.
  • My diary is open/public so feel free to take a look. I'm hoping to find more friends that are into eating primarily organic/raw/whole foods to bounce ideas back and forth for dinner planning and recipe swapping.
  • I'm 5'4" 222 lbs and comfortably in a size 22W SW: 239 = tight 22W
  • I'm 5'4" with a large frame. My goal weight right now is 165. I may reevaluate in a few months, but I think that would be about ideal for me.
  • Right now, just a lot of walking. I'm not really doing this for the weight loss so much as just getting my body healthy. The exercise is sort of an after thought because I have so much energy from the whole food diet.
  • I'm 5'4" and started at 239 (my all time high ever) I've been on MFP for just under a month and I'm at 223.4 today. I try to walk for at least an hour 3-4 times a week and eat a mostly whole foods/raw diet. I don't know what my ultimate goal weight will be. Right now, I'd just like to be under 200 again! LOL
  • I think I understand to an extent (as far as husbands go) My husband, I don't think has ever tried on purpose to foil me. He loves to cook and bake so he makes homemade donuts, pie, cakes, baklava, etc a few times a month. But he never shoves it in my face or expects me to eat it. I will have a small portion if my macros…
  • I listen to r & b when I work out (Chris Brown, Bobby V, Pretty Ricky, Trey Songz, etc) My power song is 'beg for it' by Chris Brown. Its a slower song, but it pumps me up and makes my fingers and toes tingle!
  • I have a cup of coffee as soon as I wake up (and possibly another right after if I feel like it) Then a few hours later I blend whatever fresh veges and fruit I have in my kitchen and make a large smoothie. Yesterday it was half a large tomato, 1 long celery stick, 1 large carrot, about 80 g of chard, 3 apricots, 1 yellow…
  • I am also low carb, low sodium and I pretty much stick to raw fruits/vegetables, nuts and small amounts of cheese. When I cook, I use only spices and sometimes a bit of nu-salt. Processed food is the biggest contributor of sodium so if you cut that where you can, it will be easier to stay under 2500.
  • Thanks beertrollruss and rdyne1, I have added you both

  • Thanks for the suggestion :) I do need to be adding fish into my diet. I have never eaten "real" fish in my life. I can remember eating "fish sticks" as a kid and finding a blue vein thing in one and have never touched fish since. Honestly, fish is kinda scary to me and in the same "meat is murder" category. But over the…
