Yeah, alot of things going on across the country. I'll be going to the Jamaica 50 Tarrus Riley (and Gyptian) concert for in August...woohooooo.

What part of London? I'm in NW (Harrow) quite often. I lived in Harrow for a bit and then Barnet but quickly moved back to Reading.. I'm a country girl at heart. :bigsmile:

I miss the community feel but I'm a slight recluse to I have my moments when I love how the UK is in terms of that LOL. Naturally I'm extremely proud when we excel in anything, whether that's sport or the arts but I'm even more proud that I'm a Maroon. I love the fight they put up against the Europeans. I'm just proud of my African heritage which is naturally tied in with my Jamaican heritage.

I would change so many things but I think some of the core things would then impact things such as crime. For instance if the education, fairness and opportunities were in abundance - it would impact other socio-economic problems positively. Born in Falmouth, left before I was 1 and was then raised near Buff Bay in Portland. At 11 I moved back to Falmouth and aged 14 I came to the UK 12 years and 3 days ago. lol I feel more connected to Portland thanb to Falmouth even though I was born there. :/

I'm super excited for the Olympics but selfishly concerned about how I'm going to get to the Tarrus Riley concert with transport problems. It seems though that some of the athletes are already in the UK as my friend who is on the team gave me the heads up that he's in Birmingham already! Lawddd mi cyah wait! :D
