  • Have you ever tried egg white oatmeal?? It's amazing - so filling and satisfying and full of protein and good carbs! Google it and try it! :) I have it literally EVERY morning made with water, 50 g of oats and 3 large egg whites! Then I just mix in stevia and almond butter.
  • I get up at 4:30 every work day morning and generally do between 1hr 30 and 1hr45 min workouts total. Then at the weekend on one day I do a 2 hour legs session. Yes its a lot, but I love it! ;D
  • This is a really good start and you should be proud. But what you need to do is, like everyone has said, start logging your food. I used to "eat healthy" but when i started logging, i realised how off i was!! Also, you need to get into the mindset that at your size this is NOT going to be a quick easy journey. You will…
  • Always always have snacks and water with me when I'm out and about. Buy yourself a nice, pretty refillable water bottle and keep that thing next to you at all times. I make sure to have some "emergency" snacks with me all the time too. I like stuff with a long shelf life so i dont have to worry about it rotting in my bag!…
  • I dont think you have to worry about it hindering or "stopping" weight loss. As long as its not messing with your sleep, or giving you tummy upset i wouldnt worry about it too much. I have 2-3 coffees every weekday and probably one a day at the weekend. I only have about 50ml of whole milk in my coffees though, no sugar -…
  • I'm going to Italy in a couple of weeks for a long weekend, and I fully intend on having at least one scoop of gelato every single day! :D
  • Yep yep i do this!! :) i find it very satisfying and it helps me to know how many cals i will have left for my little after dinner treat! :D
  • Breakfast and lunch are usually around 300-400 cals. Dinner is usually more like 500-550. I save some cals for a treat with my dinner. And dinner is always after my workout, so is always biggest meal of the day.
  • 40g oats, 1 scoop chocolate protein, 2 tbsps PB2 powder, water. Mix. Microwave. Then the key step, add 10g good grass fed real butter. OMG SO RICH AND YUMMY AND FILLING! :D sorry... i love this too much tbh.

  • feel free to use any of my entries. I have manually added the correct nutritional information (from website research) for a number of fresh items i use all of the time. If you search "AJL chicken breast" or "AJL cherry tomatoes" etc youl find the right info.
  • Nopes. i LOVE quest bars. I eat a suuuuuper clean diet too, and quests are pretty much the most processed thing i eat, so i dont think its the "processing" probably just the sugar alcohols people mention... although tbh i am super sensitive to sugar alcohols and most sweetners exept stevia but i dont get bloated from…
  • Iced water is much tastier in my opinion! Also one godsend i found on the internet are stevia drops (Sweetleaf stevia drops on Amazon). You literally have to put like 7-8 drops in a big glass of water to taste. They come in all sorts of flavours (grape, watermelon and raspberry and chocolate are my faves)! Also, they are…

  • I actually keep my lunch and dinner pretty similar most days, but will always vary up my breakfast and snacks to keep me interested!! soooo... my favourite breakfast at the moment is Protien Porridge with butter (honestly try it!!) 40g oats, 1 scoop chocolate protein, 2 tbsps PB2 10g of grass fed yummy butter. SOOOOO good.…
  • LOOOOOVE PB2. I have it in everything!! :D
  • Agreed that you dont need 50% protein. Even crazy body builders usually dont eat that much!! But main ways i get my protein in: Greek yogurt, chicken breast, turkey, fish, protein powder, quest bars, cottage cheese, nuts, nut butters etc.
  • It might work for some to eat "sugar free" sweets etc, with artificial sweetners, but for me it has a terrible effect. It makes me crave sugar even more. like CRAZY. and the science behind it makes sense too... as tedboosalis7 mentions above. most artificial sweetners (splenda, aspartame, candarel etc) induce an insulin…
  • Mines open! Feel free to add me. I'm also pretty good with my logging i think - as in i always have a good variety of food and snacks, so probably good for some inspiration! let me know if you want to know what exactly i "did" with anything listed! haha. sometimes i see peoples food entrys, and im like "how on EARTH did…
  • I think your proportions are off. Whenever i make protein pancakes i use 4 egg whites to one scoop. Also, add a little milk too. Then i whiz the *kitten* out of it in a blender or magic bullet or something for a couple of minutes to give the protein powder time to dissolve. Then they are NOM. I top them with greek yog and…
  • Seeing as I dont get home from work/the gym until 8pm, stopping eating at 6pm would be hard! haha. I go to bed by about 10 most nights too. Meaning i generally eat around 6-700 cals in the last two hours before bed. never caused me issues at all! :)
  • We have grilled veggies pretty much every single night. We cook them on an actual outside grill (BBQ). So easy, just make a little pan with tin foil, spray with some low cal cooking spray, mound in the veggies (literally ive shoved everything on there at one point or another - sweetcorn from the can, cherry toms, cabbage,…
  • Snacks snacks snaaacks!! so instead of having three big meals a day now, i have three smaller meals (still huge tbh, but just instead of a shi*t load of pasta i have a *kitten* load of salad... so just lower cals. then i have a morning snack between breakfast and lunch of around 80-90 cals, then i have an…
  • When i have no more! haha. Dont get home till 8 most days after work and gym, and have to be in bed by 10.30ish (up at 05.30) so i dont have a choice but to eat lots of cals late, and close to bedtime! Im pretty sure timing makes no odds though.
  • Mine NETS at below 1400 most days. My actual goal is 1500 set at sedentary, but i work out hard, so i eat back about half my cals when i need. so my net is always below 1400.... dont know if youre looking for net or total, but add me if you want! :) My rest days (Saturdays) i eat to my 1500 limit.
  • YEP! you can indeed! eat away as long as its in moderation and fits your cals. I often save my cals up one weekend day to have a splurgey meal or some snacky treats with a movie etc. If it still fits your cals, then do it! :) i also save up 250 odd cals every single day for a dessert of some description.
  • I think to become "intuitive at eating" you need to first have a cold hard shock in regards to how many calories are in ordinary foods that you eat. therefore i completely echo what lots have said already, that intuitive eating is not where i would start. In fact i kind of did start there.... i never used to count…
  • OMG my fiance sounds like your mum (thats a terrifying sentence!! haha) Ive been "healthy" now for only a few years, where he has been so for a lot longer. However he is very antiquated with his beliefs about fitness (i.e. MUST have protein WITHIN 20 mins of working out, timings of meals throughout the day MATTER ABOVE ALL…
  • To meet my protein needs, and cos its yummy! I have it with pb2 and water as a shake, or make beltsander brownies with it.
  • Hey herrspoons! thanks for this, it was a super interesting read, and i cant help but agree with all of his points. I wasn't saying that the videos i posted were gospel by any means! I've only just recently started looking into anti sugar studies though so I welcome any more additional references you might have! Agree…
  • Agreeeeeed. Have a looksie at my diary too, i save around 200-250 every day for dessert. I am also literally the BIGGEST SUGAR ADDICT in the world. OP, im pretty sure you and i could share some tales about the ridiculous binges we have had. So yeah, the only way i can stop having my mental binge stages is by allowing…
  • I pre-log every morning or the night before... i often cant pre-log dinner as i dont know what il have, but i pack all my snacks and lunch to bring to work with me every day, so theyre all logged. I love knowing how many calories i need to burn at the gym so i can fit in some chocolate for my dessert - then i can look…
