So how does coffee enhance your health? Just curious here.

    Coffee and your health

More consensus on coffee's benefits than you might think

I hope I didn't come across as insulting. I'm intrigued with everything American

And iced coffee here is, coffee mixed with cold milk, usually served in a milkshake glass. You can find cartons of iced coffee in EVERY store, corner deli far and wide. An iced coffee and meat pie is a national past time here and is very Aussiefied lol

Ice coffee with cold milk and vanilla ice cream and whipped cream ❤️

To everyone insulting America and our cream, it fits in my calories and comes straight from a farm. Stop your judging.

To answer the original question, there is no such thing, unless you are having negative health consequences from caffeine.

It enhances my mental health, because I love it :D

Does the milk actually say 2% or 10% on the front of the carton? Here it's full fat or skim, that's it! I would not have the first clue what the fat % is...

Yes, in Canada, milk actually does say 2%. 2% is probably the most common. On occasion, I've even heard people say something along the lines of "Could you pick up some 2% on the way home".

There is also 1%, which is a little lower fat ... and then there's skim.

No kidding, hunh! Yup, the % is right on the carton.

OTOH, you guys have amazing fresh fruit and veg everywhere, I hear.

Yes we do, in the summer. Right now we've got cherries imported from the U.S

I keep forgetting that winter actually happens there. (But with an average of 15 C, that's not far off from our summer, so I really feel like you're still getting a good deal)

It is continuous summers up North, Darwin and Queensland. I'm down South, it was 3.1 C, 37F when I got up this morning. I hate, hate, hate winter. But I'm always thankful that it doesn't snow where I am.. That I could not handle :confounded:

It snowed down where I am last week. And it has been pretty chilly down here. I'm about ready for summer!!

Coffee does have calories..but it is only 2 per cup or so.
And it has potassium too lol important to me.

But i just love coffee and indeed when you calculate it..it only is about 10 to 14 cents a cup, depends on the brand.

We have also Starbucks grounds here..just as a treat some days..Its yummie, and yes a bit more expensive.

I appreciate that you are grateful for the lack of snow :)

Winter does suck and snow indeed sucks more. I'm already dreading it. I don't understand how so many of my fellow Canadians think this is an acceptable way to live. Or why we (or I) even live here. Argh, upsetting to think about, especially because today was outrageously gorgeous, and it definitely won't be in no time at all. My condolences to you for being in wintry times right now. Worst. Definitely need coffee to get through it.

I got sick of Canadian prairie winters and I moved!!

But winter followed me to Australia. The snow we had was a 'first time in 30 years' event.

Now I want an iced coffee. With sugar-free vanilla syrup. And whole milk.

Talk about icy cold, I told my husband that if this January-March is going to bring more -20 windchills and weeks at a time of temperatures that don't break out of the low teens I'm going to need a gym membership. I'm not running in that.

Aw, sorry, lol. It's just weird weather everywhere now, I think.

Prairie winters are terrifically cold! They are bright and sunny, though, that's something. What I hate most about winters where I am (other than never really being able to get warm because of the humidity, the dirty snow, the awkwardness and discomfort of just getting around, the fact that no one leaves the house, and just the general misery everywhere) is that it's dark by 4 pm and I don't often see the morning light. You get glimpses of a pale, pinkey-orange haze out of the window in between, and that's about it. It's like living in a cave. Or a freezer. GD, I hate it. I might follow you :p

Yeah definitely get a gym membership in that case!

I dont think you have to worry about it hindering or "stopping" weight loss. As long as its not messing with your sleep, or giving you tummy upset i wouldnt worry about it too much. I have 2-3 coffees every weekday and probably one a day at the weekend. I only have about 50ml of whole milk in my coffees though, no sugar - as long as its good coffee... if its that freeze dried crap then i have to have a smidge of sugar! ;)
