  • I am trying low carb (below 100) right now, and once you wrap your head around it, it is very easy. Protein never fills me up, but the combination of high fat and high protein really keeps me more satisfied that any carb. Today, I ate 1150 cal (that's below my goal!) and feel stuffed. Had like 65g of carbs and 110g…
  • Well, looks like the answer to why you're not losing is right there. Now the next step is to make a decision: do you want a change, or not?
  • Get over it! I never felt a difference when I used machines but I sure see a difference using free weights!! Stronglifts, Strong Curves, NROLFW You will hate yourself for not starting yesterday?
  • Two weeks I could do mayb two weeks would be awesome. I might be able to go back after the weekend.
  • When I maintained, it was some "staying on track" but there was also a lot of gaining-losing-gaining-losing. I gave myself 5lbs and then my pants would not fit anymore and that motivated me to track again. Bottomline: there is no magic, just raised awareness forever.
  • Cutting after bulking must be like unwrapping presents :) (I have been lifting on a deficit since I got into lifting so I am jealous when people bulked - even more since I am female.) Looking very good and will only get better!
  • Google "you are your own gym". Maybe that'll give you ideas?
  • I have 5 kids, and they were all glued to me at that age. Getting up early did the trick for me. My youngest just turned 2 and is still glued to me. There was/is no escape besides early morning - and even that does not work when she is sick (like now). It is hard but don't use it as an excuse! Find a way!!
  • I am in it right now. 131 today. Was 126 not long ago. 120 was my goal. I wanna cry!
  • bump anyone? I am nice! :)
  • He certainly did not expect that making you a lawyer might backfire some day :) I feel like you are getting more and more used to the thought that you will go seperate ways, is that right? It seemed awkward to you that he was still taking you for granted while you are actually starting to break out. You are thinking about…
  • Looks like both your husband and your boss demanded the impossible from you and succeeded in making you feel ashamed because you were not able to do the impossible... I can't but see this as an opportunity for a total new start. However, you probably feel totally drained and scared and don't know where to start. Maybe you…
  • Hi Thanks. I had thought strength was only good for a few minutes, not almost 30 min. But I'll take it ;) My focus is still lifting but I enjoy running. Never thought I was particularily good at it, so I am happy.
  • She is beautiful! And so proud!
  • It does seem to make a big difference on the scale here whether I eat 1400 calories in 3 meals + one snack OR 1500 calories in 3 meals and constant snacking. Even when I feel I did not underestimate my snacks (which is probably incorrect). I can easily gain 2-3 lbs just from not fasting between meals. I don't know if part…
  • This is perfect! think of it this way: you have an education and will find and maybe even enjoy a job once you feel better. He will be struggeling for income after your divorce. Picture yourself winning this. You successful and beautiful. Him alone and broken. Stay away and lose th weight. Get your life in order with all…
  • Read about attachment theory. Might help you understand or even help get past.
  • But you've been lifting, right? Otherwise I'd ask you where the heck you're hiding those pounds!
  • I am near goal weight but I still fall off the wagon all the time! 60% of the time I feel like winner and I'm 100% committed and then I fall off for a week and feel like a failure. Sometimes it is FUN to play with the numbers and make the macros perfect etc - and sometimes it is just a pain. I haven't found any way to…
  • Abs. Ok, a goal I have control over: stick to 1350cal a day for 4 weeks.
  • Yes, I did notice a difference after 4 weeks around the waist. It took me a while to build a mind-muscle connection with my glutes. You'll figure it out! Good luck! I liked the programm so much I stayed in week 5-9 for 8 weeks and same for the last 4 weeks. Started with the advanced one though.
  • I don't quite understand. Sounds like a good meal! Did you log it? How many cals was it? Is your problem that you're still hungry? Not many complex carbs in your meal and no protein...
  • I third Strong Curves! I am having awesome results!!!
  • Hm, I have found a big improvement through lifting! I have lost weight several times (after every baby), and my breats were small and saggy. This time, I started lifting, and after one year of lifting, 5 babies and 7 years of nursing I am happy with my breasts! They're small but shapely. I am actually so happy I have…
  • I lift 4x/week. Have tried all kinds of calorie limits (while and after losing 30lbs). Now I am 130lbs at 5'4", have been lifting for a year, so newbie gains are all on (and look great). I now decided to ditch the scale and to eat 1750cals. Because on a deficit, there is NO progress in lifts and I hate it. I think I'd…
  • Lifting days: Alarm clock on 5.15. Read new emails and news in bed. Get up at 5.30. Make coffee, get dressed, drink coffee, take bcaa (supplement), go workout in gym "on campus" from 6-7. Get home, wake up kids, breakfast, day begins. Swim days: same but I have to get up earlier and drive to the gym (17min each way).…
  • Hi I lost a boy at 40 weeks pregnant, same story... I gained a lot after, and in the following pregnancy too. Then I lost it all after. I have since had three more babies, all healthy and fine and I have lost all the weight between each and all the pregnancies. Bottomline: there can be a happy end!! And I wish you all the…
