  • When you first start out the weight takes about 2 weeks to start showing. I don't know why. Example: I've been watching my food for the first time ever and exercising like made and it took me 3 weeks to start seeing the weight change on the scale. If you watch your body or do measurements you will have noticed that there…
  • I just go with the flow....hahahaa..sorry. If I need to eat junk then I eat it. I just don't go piggy on it.
  • I like the numbers my scale says so I do weigh everyday. I know what TOM weight should be and at other times of day what it should be. I'm obsessive though. I do believe it keeps me on track from gaining any of the weight back. I don't stress until there is more than a 5 pound difference. I get numb legs too but this last…
  • If you exercise enough I say don't fight it. For me anyways if I go ahead and cave that day (usually at TOM) then I can be good rest of time. If I withhold from myself then I get more obsessed and then I eat blindly for days. If you exercise....it will come off. ;) I also believe this will help with plateaus. If you shock…
  • PS>... lots of exercise makes you hungry too. Try a shot of protein powder in water after a major workout. Fills you up, low cals but repairs your muscles. I tried the other day and actually felt better after workout.
  • I think it's the difference between 'grazers' and 'bingers'. Grazers mentally need to eat all day. Doesn't have to be a ton of food or a lot but they need a bite of something every couple minutes. If you are one of these people then you need to adjust your eating to reflect that. You need to eat more zero calorie foods so…
  • The soreness will go away during exercise. Do something with your upper body that doesn't move your legs much. Do something I say.
  • Read a book. Hold hand weights and do upper body workout. Talk to yourself. ;) Try other machines. Lift weights after your 20 min and then go do another 20 min.
  • Change it up! Boredom shows itself in many ways. Sounds like your body knows the routine. ;) Make a set diet for yourself and you won't have to count the calories. I have a postcard that tells me what meals I can make that are in my calorie range I want to stay. Then I get those meals for the week and just eat them. No…
  • Just get the whole wheat versions of your pastas and rice and you should get enough fiber then.
  • You are drinking your calories with the juice. Try getting rid of the juice and adding those calories as food instead. Eat more fiber. Examples: Apples, Black Beans, Brocoli (boiled), Peas, Whole Wheat Spagehetti, and Oatmeal. Eat your zero calorie foods when hungry. Examples: Veggies (raw is the best).
  • Find something new that excites you. You are in plateau mode and need something new. Good thing you keep exercising but maybe that needs a change too because your body gets used to something and doesn't work as hard as it could. The more you beat yourself up about what you are eating the more you will eat. ;) The glass can…
  • My husband is hiding from the scale. As long as you are honest with yourself about gaining weight then it's okay not to have a scale. But if you will lie to yourself for 10, 20, 30 pounds then you need that scale. ;)
  • Look for nutrition info online and input it into the database yourself.
  • You have to come up with something to do for youself on those days you can't get to the gym. I'm a total gym rat. I can not workout at home....I even have an eliptical that I stare at but I can't get on it. At the gym I'll hop on them in a second. lol. After my last plateu that I held for the last two years I had to decide…
  • Absolutly. It's movement and it's burning calories.
  • Eliptical machine. Low impact on body. Can work lots of different muscles and burns more calories than bike and walking on treadmill.
  • You just exhurted a lot of energy. I'm pretty sure it's okay to take a nap. You would be buring calories while you take the nap.
  • Thanks Brittnie. ; ) My biggest concern about the calories is the theory that our body needs fuel every 4 hours or else it will go to starvation mode. I don't want that to happen with all the calories I burn so I need to eat something.
  • I too am getting really full with lots of calories banked over. Good Question!
  • I weigh myself as soon as I get up. Again in the afternoon and then before I go to bed. I compare each weight to that of the same time of the day before to make sure I'm staying the same or less. When I didn't weigh myself everyday I woke up 320 pounds. lol
  • Cook the oats overnight in crock pot. Yummmm......and Easy!
  • It's full of sugar and for women that is bad. If you were doing some major weight training 4 days a week then you can burn it off. Of all things to avoid as much as possible it's sugar and fats. If you are really heavy and going slow with weight loss then it might be an okay option for now until you get your eating down…
  • There are loads of sugar in your milk. Especially full fat. Elminate the cereal for breakfast.
