  • Who cares what other people think? Are you happy with where you are? If so, screw everybody else. Everyone is a critic, they all think they know best, and they are generally wrecks themselves. The only one you look at in the mirror and hear in your head is you, so blow yourself a kiss in the mirror, smile and be proud of…
  • Hah...love the dirty minds!!! This cut my post workout soreness (which was bad) to a dull, workable soreness, not the walk around like I am dying and get tempted to skip a workout soreness. Will BCAA do this by itself? I do not want to go back to Advil to solve this...but I am not a chemist or a nutritionist. Anyone? Oh…
  • I am not seeing a problem...you look perfect...but charge on and good luck with your goal!
  • Hah...I am the same way. Same thing generally for breakfast, same thing for lunch, and mix it up with dinner. I get everything ready Sunday night and leave it in one container, and measure and pack my turkey, etc. each night. My wife thinks I am crazy but doing the same thing often breeds discipline in me and like you, it…
  • Do not some internet jackwagon deter you from your goals. You are in this for you, not some idiot who types bs to you. Don't give anyone else the power to make you feel bad and don't let them live rent free in your head. It's ok to dismiss negative people from your life. Glad you are back...now kick butt woman!
  • Yep and like you back on the wagon...a few days wouldn't kill me...but now back to the slow, steady discipline I need...70 down, 70 to go. Keep your head up...it's ok to be human and celebrate a bit...just as long as you come back into your good routine. Keep at it!
  • You should consult your pharmacist as there are remedies for this...opiates (like oxycodone) usually constipate you...which is why heroin addicts will use laxatives...and your first movement will feel like you are giving birth to a brick...but it is something of a blessing if you have had surgery that makes going to the…
  • I have been at 2-5 lbs a week for months and it adds up quick. I am down 48 and counting. Keep at it. Slow and steady is healthy and it wins the race. Good luck.
  • This is my first time counting calories too...it works...I am down 48 lbs. since the last week of June. Stay with it!
  • Great post...I totally agree! Thanks.
  • You can do it dude...I am a big guy losing too and I find it's like being an addict...one day at a time. Celebrate all the little victories and keep at it. Days will turn into weeks, weeks into months, etc. and you will progress! I have had two friends (both former big guys) who have lost a combined total of 350 lbs on MFP…

  • I find once a week on Friday morning when I wake up to be the best. I allow a little less discipline Friday/Saturday if it comes up, then back to strick discipline for the rest of the week. Also try to work out on Saturday mornings so I can eat a tad more if I go out.
  • This is my first time counting calories too and I am losing 2 lbs a week like clockwork...sometimes more but for the last three weeks it has been 2-4 lbs a week. Safe, slow, doable, no whacky schemes, and over time VERY EFFECTIVE! Good luck and stick to it! I am down 40 lbs so far. This really seems to work.
