  • Level 3, you might just do for me! I read a post somewhere that said 'L3 isn't that different from level 2 unless your abs aren't great'. Clearly my abs are not that great. It's not so much the cardio, although 'rock star jumps' may remain permanently out of my ability, but the strength I found to be big step up.…
  • Hi all I've really not been around much in the last week and it's showed in my weight loss which is zero, nil pounds, nothing, since last week. On the good side, I've not gained anything but I'm really going to have work my lazy *kitten* this week to get those 4lb out the way in the next two weeks. So great challenges once…
  • Good morning all and welcome to those who have just taken this up. Really look forward to all your updates. I'm just about to start L3 today. I haven't shredded since Wednesday and managed to get through the whole thing without stopping and mostly sticking with Natalie so think I'm ready to move on. Thursday night I…
  • bzbear - welcome back - glad you've managed to keep it going. kate - swimming at lunchtime - am so so impressed. -15?!! Eeek. I'm being pathetic about -7! Definitely thinward - that made me laugh out loud. crlflower - modified is definitely worth it for sticking to the programme. I swap between 2, 3 and 5lb weights because…
  • Hey guys Welcome welcome welcome to the new people. Really glad you're taking up the challenge. It is so worth keeping going and I can definitely tell the difference in my shape. Eating sensibly made a difference to my weight but this has definitely toned and sculpted. Ok, maybe not sculpted very smoothly yet but I'm…
  • Another day done and I'm still not up to completing all of the strength on circuit 3 without falling over although the cardio on that was definitely more manageable. I know I'm not going to be able to fit this in on Friday and probably not Thursday either this week. It's getting a bit mad with Christmas events going on and…
  • Wow, that's amazing. The change in 5 months is amazing. What else in your life has changed as a result of your lifestyle change? Sorry, being nosy. Did you just quit drinking or did you cut down?
  • Just finished what I reckon (after some calculation) was D6 of Level 2 for me. I'm still struggling to keep up with everything, particularly the last set of strength ones but I'm more with Natalie than Anita now. I had a super speedy glance at L3 and I'm definitely keeping going on L2 for the next few days
  • I missed week 5 completely - apologies! I have been logging in and am half way through the 30 day Shred today which is definitely making a difference. Great challenges for week 6 AprilVal. I'm definitely a fan of meditation and I've hardly done any for ages so this is going to get me back to that. I use guided meditations…
  • Lisa - well done for doing it. Like you I was *still* over my goals yesterday but at least I didn't feel like I'd not tried. I find it so hard to stick to exercise routines and this is a pretty long run for me, and definitely for a daily routine. Logging it here definitely got me off the sofa last night. SK - tkroeker…
  • Well I managed to get the shred in today. It did seem a bit easier but maybe I wasn't working as hard. I like the idea of logging it as 'Calisthenics' - gives me more calories than logging it as 'general aerobics'.
  • Hey Kate, hope you're feeling OK and hopefully a bit better today. Sounds like you're having a grim time. I quite understand the light, light, light, heavy thing and it's horrid. It's a good plan to take a few days off, no point in making yourself feel grim. Lisa - you're right about perfection, definitely need to keep…
  • Well I think it's getting a little easier and I managed proper plank jacks for most of the time. I couldn't do squat thrusts when I was in school and I can't do them now. I'm just not sure I'm the right shape for them but I do try. It's a good job no one lives underneath me or they'd think I was about to land through their…
  • L2 D3 done with a little more style and a little less whimpering although not a lot on either count. Thank you for the kind words about the size 14s. Going to need to keep shredding to be able to eat in them however :-) I'm fairly pear shaped with a small waist compared to my hips (28.5" to 40.5" hips). Anyone have any…
  • L2 D2 done. I think I'm losing weight by sweating so much doing this! Unbelievable. It wasn't any easier but at least I had slightly more of a clue about what I was aiming for in some of the moves and might even have got a bit closer to what it going on on screen. Aiming for light weights and good form for the next couple…
  • ikiness - if it's working for you, keep doing it. You are burning calories you wouldn't otherwise burn, you are more toned and fitter and healthier than you were. There are so many weightloss and exercise DVDs out there and you've found one that makes a difference to you. No, it isn't the longest in the world, but most of…
  • So yesterday I did not rock, I did not roll and I certainly did not shred. Life overtook the best laid plans but that's OK and the day was pretty damn fine. Bzbear - I'm so impressed that you took your DVD with you on your trip and that you did it too. I shall remember this as I'm away in a couple of weeks. Kate - L2 is…
  • I can't see your food calendar so probably should just butt out of this but just wondered. Are you wearing your HRM all the time? MFP is already calculating on you burning a set number of calories for your lifestyle, height, weight etc, but if you are adding in your 'activities of daily living' calories off your HRM to…

  • Thanks Kate. It really felt like it was worth it when I measured myself this morning. And well done for getting it out of the way so early. I've just done Level 2 or at least attempted to do it. My goodness, that was pretty intense. I need to work a lot on form and I'm right back with Anita on most of the exercises and…
  • Well I lost 1lb this week and given that I was over my calorie goal 4 (!!!) times is still pretty good. But more importantly I've lost 3/4" from my waist, 3/4" from my hips and 1/2" from 1 thigh and 1/2" from my bra band measurement plus some at knees and arms. Hurrah! And none off my bust measurement - even bigger hurrah,…
  • Your photos set such a brilliant example of what willpower and commitment and MFP can do. Amazing. I'm so impressed.
  • Kate - hope you're not fretting about the gain. It'll come off again really soon. I'm on MFP because I can lose weight but find it tough to maintain. Right now I'm in the losing weight (again!) phase but I know it's so hard to keep it off. You can definitely do this. Day 8 done. I even felt like I got the side lunges going…
  • You're doing brilliantly. Some days like today you won't do so brilliantly but that's ok. You're in a much better place that where you used to be. Have a great day tomorrow. All this is being said by someone who is currently squeaking in just under her calories and that's with eating all my exercise calories too. And is…
  • Day 7 done, now to shower and then out dancing for an hour or so. I'm doing most of Natalie's exercises now except the push ups - although I'm increasing by one proper one per day so up to whole 3 today but that's only in the first set. Still struggling with the side lunges. LisaYvonne - you're right that good form is…
  • Kate - well done for getting the DVD turned on and going for it. Glad you feel better for it.
  • Well done on all your hard work - what a change in your life. Great job.
  • I ate far too much chocolate today after a rather emotional couple of days. All my willpower scooted out the window and I fell off the wagon. However I did just manage to do Day 5 (two full press ups) to try and counteract some of the unhealthy eating. I'm definitely noticing a difference. I think my abs are a bit more…
  • Pastry! I buy (OK, used to buy) the JusRol stuff. There are 2700 calories in one pack and that would be split over 4 meals at nearly 700 calories just on pastry. So that's half my current daily calories in one go. Not going to be happening going forward
  • Hi all Finished Day 5 ... just. I reverted to my smaller weights today on the basis that I don't want to bulk up but just want to tone so I'll swap them in and out but it didn't seem any easier at all! I managed one whole proper push up and that was it before reverting to 'copying Anita'. Going to have to make some…
  • You look great, well done. And what a fab example to the kids you teach. Well done you! Look forward to seeing your next update pics.
