  • Hi, I am just wondering if you are still using Isotonix? I just started about 2 weeks ago and am curious how people that have used them for longer periods feel about them. Thanks.

  • I average 1750 calories a day and work with a personal trainer so I do a 30 min workout that includes cardio, weights, planks. I am supposed to do 3x a week but usually get 1 or 2 in plus a walk or two. Now that we are hopefully done with snow I hope to step it up a bit & stop using the weather as an excuse not to get out…
  • I can live with the vodka diet....not so much the twinkie....but throw in a brownie or some ice cream...I'm all over it.
  • Thanks everyone! I know you are all right! I just have to keep reminding myself there is no magic "diet". I honestly think my caloric intake was less before I started trying to find the miracle eating plan. Time to get my food scale out and track everything. LOVE. THIS. BOARD.

  • Honestly, I never thought in a million years I could give up bread but I did and now I don't miss it at all. I have adapted to it very well and can not believe the difference in my "wheat belly".
  • I was going to suggest Wheat Belly as well. My 9 year old son has GERD very badly & was on meds at 3 months old until a year and a half ago when we went Paleo. He still had issues but not bad enough that he needed to be medicated. We also switched many foods to organic and grass fed which helped him too. A friend of ours…
  • my personal trainer (and my husbands personal trainer-not same person) both say GNC definitely wrong place to go for advice. My husband uses Solgar Whey protein twice a day-he has lost 20+ lbs and gained a ton of muscle (his intention with his workouts) in 10 weeks. I am starting up with my trainer again next week and we…
  • I was introduced to Wheat Belly by a massage therapist who also has her masters degree in Functional Nutrition. I was having issues with joint pain, specifically in my arm/hand (tendonitius). She told me gluten causes inflammation and inflammation causes pain. Seemed to make sense to me so I decided to give it a shot. I…
  • Jillian didn't even train her. Dovett did. While I think she does look a little too thin, she is shorter and 105lbs is probalby on the very low end but if she is definitely muscular. The controversy is crazy-people are so quick to jump all over everyone. SMH :grumble:
  • Thank you! I'm excited to get it done once and for all. I have lots of plans for hiking and camping this summer with my family and will need them to keep up with me!!! (as opposed to me always trying to catch up to them!)
  • I have these same goals! I am recovering from a sprained foot and ankle so I can't run right now but I will start up with my trainer again next month and work on core/strength so that when I can start running again I am ready. I have made this goal so many times over the years but I "feel" it for 2014! This is my year!
  • Wow! 90 lbs? My 9 yr old weighs 73 and he's very average and active. I can't imagine a 90 lb adult. I hope this is a safe goal weight for you.
  • Awesome!! I hope to run a half one day - possibly next year :) I didn't see anything wrong with that picture either--it made me say to myself "holy crap! she did that in 8 months and my youngest is 9 YEARS....I better GET OFF MY BUTT!!!" Anyone that complained is nuts.
  • Vemma. It's a liquid vitamin supplement. I can't take multi vitamins-my stomach can't handle them. This is first vitamin I have been able to take in 30 years that I don't get sick on. I started using the BODE products after watching Extreme Weight Loss edition - amazing results so I thought, if they can do it, so can I! I…
  • I haven't lost all the weight but my stomach gets flabbier and flabbier the more I work out. I'm sure the muscle underneath is why-it's all toned--I would be hot if the excess fat would disappear! LOL The stretch marks are my tiger stripes--giving birth to my 9lb 3oz amazing son was totally worth it!
  • My sister has lost over 100lbs AFTER she signed up for lap band surgery. They made her go to a nutritionist and psychologist for six months before she would be approved for the surgery. Well....she didn't need the surgery! She has about another 100 to lose but she is doing it on her own. She started with cutting back on…
  • So happy for you!! Congrats on reaching each goal and rewarding yourself!!! I LOVE reading the success stories!! Keep up the great work! You look great!
  • I did day 2/level 1 today & made it to the end!!!!! I had to stop a couple of times for a few seconds but I did it! I think I need to use different sized weights for parts of it. I'm using 6 lb but think for the front raises I might need 3 or 4 lbs (I forget what size I have). I am so proud of myself! I also stayed within…
  • Sore is an understatement! Yowsa!! I could barely walk this morning and I took yesterday off! I will be doing it again tonight and then starting mornings tomorrow so I can get 2 weekend days in before I have to get back to work on Monday. I may not have time to meet my goal weight but I am going to at least get a few…
  • I love her 3 2 1 too! I didn't make it throught the 2 min cardio jumping jacks last night. I really want to try to start doing in the morning but I can't get myself out of bed early enough! LOL I am going to start running in the evenings so hoping if I start doing 30DS in teh morning this weekend-I will get in the habit &…
  • Thanks & Good luck to you too!!
  • Our first cruise - I'm SO EXCITED! I live in upstate NY and have never seen the ocean! We are surrounded by Lake Ontario so it never seemed like I was missing out so now I am super stoked!
  • Thanks All! I have been Gluten Free for about a month (give or take a few cheats here and there) & it seems to be making a difference. I sit all day and I'm sure that isn't helping. I'm taking the "it's a new month!" approach today so hopefully will burn a few more inches before the cruise!
  • I have just started reading the book this weekend but after advice from a nutritionist with her Masters in Functional Nutrition, I cut wheat and gluten out a week ago after trying to do a eating plan through my Personal Trainer that was supposed to be a well balanced diet. It contained only wheat/whole grain breads which I…
  • Let me just say I am old enough to be your mother and I am so proud of you!! You look fabulous!! I've been struggling with my weight since I was your age and look at you!!! You are learning at a young age that you need to get healthy! WOOT WOOT!!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! Secondly, those girls don't matter....all that matters is…
