  • after finishing BR last week I decided to do NMTZ as strength training this week and boy is it hard! I used this dvd last year and forgot how hard it is! I'm stronger than last year and use heavier weights now but nothing like the ones on BR. she does LOTS of super sets on NMTZ! on BR you have maybe two sets in a row for…
  • I think combining the two groups would be a great idea! the more the merrier :D
  • I'm happy to lose 1-2 lbs/week and I'm only 25 :( I hate my metabolism.
  • me: 1 binge: 0 today I felt the binge urge twice... first in the afternoon, but it wasn't that strong and after having a bigger snack, it subsided. the second was in the evening. went to see a movie with friends, didn't like it, and kept eating the trail mix I brought with me. I ate almost the whole bag, wouldn't call it a…
  • this week I started with workouts 11 and 12 and I love them! even though some exercises are really tough and I have to modify, they're a lot of fun! after doing workout 12 my butt has been sore which hasn't happened in a long time  (I always feel it more in my upper body)
  • I have knee problems as well :( it's really annoying and I know what you mean about feeling like you're selling yourself short! It's still possible to do this programme though with a few modifications! I avoid plyometrics and jumping, even the simpler ones like jumping jacks, high knees and butt kicks. I have an exercise…
  • I did this for the first time yesterday and I'm really sore today! my arms, back and shoulders, ouch. Dive bombers are still killing me and now with the reverse, it's really tough! I have to go on my knees for that one. same with the push-ups with resistant cable! I don't have her cables though adn I still have to figure…
  • thanks everyone for sharing your stories, it's giving me hope :D I'm upping my calories right now according to TDEE -20% as I've been loosing slowly (1 lb per week would be an excellent rare week for me), hoping for some good results :)
  • does anyone else have trouble meeting their calories with low carb? I don't even go that low, the last couple of days I averaged 100 g a day. In order to meet my calories I often end up with about 40 percent of fat a day, is that too much even though it's all healthy fats?
  • awesome :) when are you starting? I'm gonna restart phase 3 as well. just when I'd done workouts 9 and 10 for the third time I got a sinus infection and I had to take a break for two weeks :( this week I've started again with workouts 7, 8 and cardio 2. each of them went surprisingly well so that I feel confident to give…
  • I've been sick since Monday! :( Monday and Tuesday it was just soreness in my throat and my energy felt almost normal so I worked out anyway but today my nose is running and I'm super tired and cranky and I decided to take a break... I actually hate it! yes I'm one of those people who hate not being able to work out! it's…
  • ok, WO 9 circuit 2 is KILLING me! the dive bombers where you lower your body from downward dog in a wave like movement... if I went as low as Jillian I would crash on the floor lol! and straightening the arms from forearm plank is very hard for me as well, it's kinda comforting to see the guys on the dvd struggling with…
  • I'm currently in phase 3 and already thinking about repeating BR because I like it so much! not sure yet whether to start again right away or do some other workouts for a while... but I've been wondering about that, whether people start again with phase 1 or go right to phase 2?
  • how is everyone doing? can't believe phase 2 is over!! This week I went on a short trip to Istanbul with my parents but still stuck to the workouts for the most part (can't believe I'm one of those people now...) I didn't do the cardio bc we walked around a lot going sightseeing. On Monday I did some of the workout 7…
  • why do some people seem to feel threatened or insulted by what other people do? kymkan said eating this amount of calories worked for her, she didn't tell anyone to do the same, heck she didn't even recommend it! and even IF she gains it back, it's no one's business but hers, no reason to get so worked up about it.
  • MFP tells me only friends can look at your profile, so I hope you accept my request :D and thx for the encouragement, I really love this programme so far!
  • wow, workout 7 actually felt easier today! still dying in that first circuit with her plank-athon (I know she wants us to stay in plank between the plank walks and the plank-ups-and-downs but there's just no way! lol), but dying a little less... I have, as many women and even some men, a love/hate relationship with…
  • I've already told you in our BR group, but again: inspirational pics, well done! :) regarding the bolded part, I have the same question! I'm currently in phase 2 and just past the halfway point and while I do see changes in my body my results definitely won't be as dramatic as yours, but I'll just try to be patient and…
  • ok, thanks :) you really look great, what an inspirational before&after pic!
  • WOW, you look amazing! look at these abs, good work!!! did you eat your exercise calories back? so did you net 1200 or ate 1200?
  • oh boy, workout 7 might be my least favourite one so far! :( I still can't make it through 30 seconds of push-ups and have to drop down to my knees for the last few repetitions, let alone crow push-ups!! I feel like there are too many arms and shoulders moves and not enough legs/lower body moves in workout 7, my arms feel…
  • I love bellpeppers and cucumber with Houmous :) I just tried it with oven grilled vegetables a couple of days ago (broccoli, zucchini and green asparagus), that was delicious as well!

  • did workout 6 today and definitely feel comfortable to move on to workout 8 next week. workout 5? not so much! it was a bit easier yesterday than last week, but some moves still kill me, especially the crab dips!
  • I'd love to join the support group, too! :)
  • oh no, are you ok? I once thought I pulled a muscle but it turned out that it was just really really sore and took a couple of days longer than usual.
  • I'm in the same boat! had a knee injury and avoid any cardio that involves too much plyo. I do skaters and jump rope, but replace jumping jacks, butt kicks, knee highs and some others with lower impact moves or I go on my stationary bike. As long as my heart rate is still up I don't care about not being able to do the more…
  • workout 5 is kicking my butt!!! I think circuit 3 is the worst, the one that works your arms. these crab dips are hard and the cardio interval of punches with resistance band... wow!! :noway:
  • how do you get to a 40/40/20 ratio when you're not allowed to eat complex carbs? loooooooots of veggies? :noway:
  • :-) downward dogs look a lot easier than they are! how was cardio 2 for you guys? since it's warm and sunny here today and won't be for the rest of the week I rode my bike instead... my legs and butt are really sore for the first time (except for the first day after workout 1), phase 2 is literally kicking my butt…
  • THIS! and also.... .... THIS! right now I'm in "the zone" and it's alright and good, but sometimes I'm terrified of coming out of it. usually it happens bc of that impatience and not seeing the progress that I want. in the past I'd then restrict more (not dangerously low calories) which leads to binge eating and falling…
