Eat some veggies before bed. They are low in calories, and can really fill you up.

I've read that some people put it under "cleaning" and change the effort depending on the situation. I, however, would consider it a bonus.

I mostly have 16-24. The smaller stuff is not even necessarily anything I'll want to wear again, just stuff I'll use to see if I fit those sizes again. The 24s are too big, but some of the shirts look OK too big. Right now I'm between 20 and 22.

I keep a bag in my closet for Goodwill donations at all times. Every time I find something that is too big or looks bad now that I've lost weight, I toss it in there. I just need to get better about actually bringing the full bags to them. Although, I've never dug anything out of one.

I made this recipe earlier this week. It's AMAZING. I will be making it again! It calls for ranch dressing, I used light. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Tender-Chicken-Nuggets/Detail.aspx

I drink a smoothie every day. I make it at home, so I do know the exact measurements of mine. I just made a recipe with the ingredients and I log that every day. Blending the ingredients won't change anything.

I was always what one would consider slightly overweight, though looking back at high school I think I looked HOT. I was taller than most of my friends growing up, and went through puberty first (I'm a nice hourglass, even with the extra weight). I had been eating a low fat diet at my parents' house since I was nine…

I've never had it happen to me, but I have heard of it happening. I think I've seen it mocked on a sitcom when somebody was running a marathon or something. Like vzepol said, bandaids, at least until they heal (maybe even the larger patch-like ones). Then try something topical.

I have a friend who signed up for a year-long Curves membership years ago, and she always talks about how she didn't lose weight because she would go every day and not try. I would suggest stepping up the intesity of your workouts and see what that does.

Not true. It's completely based on height, weight, and activity level. You weigh a lot less than me, so you get fewer calories.
-
I'm about 260 and I get 1960. I had more when I weighed more. MFP asks you if you want to readjust after every 10 pounds lost.

I gained initially when I started on them a few years ago, and then I leveled out. Any other gain since then can be attributed to eating poorly and lack of exercise. I *will* say it gave me fat in places I had never had it before (between my belly button and my "business"). I don't think it's affected my weight loss at…

I have big thighs, too. As does my mom, and my poor little 6 year old niece. They're probably the #1 reason I thought I was fat in high school when I wasn't. For me, it's just my body type and I have to accept it.
-
not sure, but it is built into the exercise list. I saw it the other night after I had been out dancing with friends. I just typed "dancing" and a few options came up. Just estimate how much time you actually spent dancing.

In this situation you should find some kind of healthy fat to eat. Peanut butter, avocado, sweet potato, etc. You might not get your full calories, and one day won't ruin you, but it's always good to have something around that you can eat to fill up the space left by over-energized exercise. Also, chocolate milk is really…

I think it depends on the day and my mood. And what they brought instead. Chicken fajitas? I'd eat 'em (love!), but certain other things I could have passed up. I also know, because my ex-husband worked at a Fridays for a while, that if you are too mean to wait staff (no matter if they deserve it), they *will* do something…

I think so. Also, being post-menopausal will affect your weight loss.

Thanks for sharing. I really needed that at this point in my life.

This is what I do, too. I tend not to eat a whole lot at work, so sometimes for dinner I'll go get some fast food. I've figured out exactly what I can eat at certain places and stay within my calorie range. Also, I plan lunches out with my co-workers in as well. Like, I know tomorrow we are going out, I already chose what…

Even a small tortilla would have way less carbs than bread. Or if you ever really crave bread, there are these new(ish) things I've seen. They are called "sandwich thins," and are like buns but really skinny and fewer calories/carbs. http://www.arnoldbread.com/thins/

Just be aware that the problem may not be your scale. I have both a scale and a wii fit. They weigh me about the same... 10-15 pounds lighter than any other scale. It's the floor in my house. If I use them somewhere else, or weigh myself on a scale in a different location, then I get accurate results. I used to live in a…

I'm wearing my jeans like that today. They fit perfectly. I'll be sad when they don't fit anymore, but there are other jeans. In smaller sizes!!!

Thank you for sharing. As many people have said, the ability to recognize some of the problem is really important. Have you ever considered counseling? In know it sounds strange, but my mom (on here also) did it for a while, and has lost 70 pounds! She's skinnier than she's been in my entire life. It's really good to…

I swear no two brands fit the same. I'm on a tight budget myself, but I don't have many old clothes to fall back on. I was basically a 24 when I started here, maybe 24 was a smidge tight when first out of the dryer, but by the end of the day they were fine. The pants I'm currently wearing are 20, but I have a pair of 22 at…

I'm going to agree with the breathing thing. I have narrow nasal passages and I get cramping a lot. Try using breath right strips when you are working out. A lot of pro athletes do that.

For me, this image goes against everything in your original post. I'm 5'7". In high school I weighed 160. I would LOVE to weigh 160 again (I'm 26, no kids). Acording to this chart, that is the "high" end for my height. Everything I see says someone my height should weigh 140, and that's skinnier than I've ever been.

It's also your first week. It may take your body some time to adjust and realize that it's not starving.

That's awesome! I wish I could get that passionate about cleaning my house. Talk about "Cleaning, vigorous."

I read on another thread someone that is going to make sloppy joes with ground turkey. Sounds good and kid friendly to me! Also, turkey burgers are good, but tend to be too balnd for adults.

If you're thinking of stopping at the store anyway, why not get some fresh potatoes? Then cut them into strips and make your own french fries. You can bake them in the oven with a little Pam sprayed on them. Or do the same with sweet potatoes. Yummmm.
