  • Hi! I'm 5'1'' and I started at 198 lbs. I'm now at 153 and my goal is 135. I log everyday and I log everything!! I also message friends who don't show up in a while. Feel free to add me :)
  • Hi! I have been trying to lose weight for over 10 years. Last year, I decided to really commit and I've been logging daily and exercising5-6 times a week since then. I'm pretty proud to say I'm almost at my goal weight. Losing weight is about consistency and making small changes over a long period of time. Some days will…
  • Hi! It migh not be the right calorie goal for you. I tried 1200 for a long time and failed time and again. This past year, I found out my maintenance was at 1750 (from trial and error) so I go with 1550 calories per day. My weight loss rate is a bit slower but I'm losing steadily and that's what matters! Like oh_happy_day…
  • That depends on a lot of things... Like your current weight, height and age, your current calorie goal, your level of physical activity and at what speed you want to lose. For example, 1200 is not sustainable for me. I have a relatively sedentary job but I run twice a week and I workout 30 minutes each night. At 1200, I…

  • Hi! I failed for 10 years... Then I found support and I was able to make it through the rough patches and stay on top. It's all about making small changes over a long period of time. Consistency is key. I log everyday. Feel free to add me :)
  • Hi! I work 40 hours/week, the commute takes an hour twice a day, I have a husband and a 2 yo daughter, and all the chores that come with it. I workout 30 minutes every night, I run on my lunch break twice a week. But I don't read books or listen to TV as much as I used to. I do a few hours of meal prep on Sunday mornings…

  • Hi! I totally get that! My husband loves to cook on the weekends and his homemade pizza is to die for! It's mostly a matter of portion control and being more active. I log everyday and I log everything! Feel free to add me :)
  • Hi! I have been trying to lose weight for the last 10 years. I've been really committed for the past year, logging and exercising daily. I'm 15 lbs away from my goal weight! Self sabotage was a big hurdle to overcome for me, still is sometimes. The best thing is support. Reaching out before I sabotaged made it possible to…
  • Hi! Congrats on the 50 lbs! Keeping track of your food will certainly help determine where the problem is. If you workout a lot, eating too few calories might be hindering your progress, just as eating too much. I log everyday and I log everything. I also message friends who don't show up in a while. Feel free to add me :)
  • Welcome! MFP is a great tool. Support made a huge difference for me. Plugging in everyday and being accountable helps to keep our goals in sight. I log everyday and I log everything. Feel free to add me.
  • What I've learned is that it's about small changes done over a long period of time. You can't do everything perfect on day one. Just choose one habit you wish to improve and work on it for a week. Then next week, move on to another habit and so on until you have all those little things mastered. You will fail, we all do.…
  • Hi! I started at 198 lbs (I'm 5'1'') and I'm now at 153 lbs. My goal weight is 135 lbs, so our goal is pretty similar. As for your back injury, have you tried yoga and pilates? Since there's no impact, it could help you. Unless you're bedridden... I log everyday and I log everything I eat. Feel free to add me :)

  • Congrats! Keep it up. Make sure you have a "plan B" for nutrition as you might get bored with that menu. Consistency is key. It's all about doing small changes over a long period of time. You might stray or fumble, but that's when support comes in to help you! It really made the difference for me. I've been at this for a…
  • Hi! Support and consistency are 2 important things for a successfull weight loss. I've been at this for a year and I'm 15 lbs away from my goal weight. Feel free to add me.

  • Hi! I log everyday and I log everything. Hubby is in this with me too, but online support is great when you need to talk about certain topics :) Also, I think cheering others is the best way to cheer yourself. Feel free to add me
  • If you're reaching out, it means you're still on the right path. Just make the next best choice. Your past actions don't have to define the future ones! We all stray from time to time. It happens. What matters is to get back to it. Consistency is key. It's the small things done over a long period of time that give the most…
  • Hi! Support makes a huge a difference. I'm 15 lbs away from my goal weight. I log every day. Feel free to add me :)
  • Thanks everyone! On the before pic, I had been doing mostly pilates and yoga. I started doing free weights 4 days a week. 2 of those workouts were more cardio, one focused on the upper body and the last one on the lower body. I started with 4 and 7 lbs and moved on to 7 and 10 lbs.
  • Hi! I've got 18 lbs left to lose to reach my final goal. I log everyday and I log everything! I also message friends who don't show up in a while. Feel free to add me :)

  • Hi! The best way to lose weight is to have a plan (workout program, nutrition plan and support). The sad truth is, same goes for maintaining. I'm getting pretty close to my goal weight. I log everyday and I log everything I eat. I also message friends who don't show up in a while. Feel free to add me :)

  • Hi! I'm 28 and my daughter just turned 2. My highest was 198 lbs, I'm now at 156 lbs and my final goal is 135. This app is a great tool. Losing weight is simple, but it's difficult... It's simple because the knowledge and basics are quite easy to find and learn. It's difficult because losing weight is done over a long…
  • Hi! Finding your why is an important step. Then it's plastering the walls with post-its, quotes and pictures to always keep it in mind! Consistency is key. It's a change in small habits done over a long period of time that brings us the greatest results. I log everyday. Feel free to add me :)
  • Hi! I just crossed the threshold from Obese to Overweight on the BMI range! My goal is to reach a normal range before next year. I log my food and exercise daily. I also message friends who don't show up in a while. Feel free to add me :)
