Thanks everyone :) I'm very proud of what I have accomplished. Although looking at the pics, I have a hard time believing it! I'm grateful for the life I now have.

Here's what my day looks like: Breakfast: English muffin with 2 egg whites, smoked turkey (because ham doesn't agree with me, but you can switch it), a slice of cheese Snack: half a cup of greek yogourt 0%MF with homemade oatmeal cookie Lunch: protein like beef, chicken or pork, with rice, veggies, fruits for dessert…

I don't need to eat to soothe myself anymore. Working out daily has been a great mood regulator. I don't have ups and downs as I used to. It's a smoother sail. I tackle problems with a clearer head. I still have bad days but I know a good run or HIIT workout will help drain the anger/anguish.

You'll have to be very determined and on track all to time to achieve 50 lbs in 8 months. It took me 18 months to drop 50 lbs. To give you an idea: I workout 5-6 days a week, I do strenght training, yoga, pilates, I also run occasionally. I'm 5'1'', 28 yo, and I eat 1550 calories per day. I average a loss of 0,8 lbs per…

Having more muscle mass will increase your metabolism. Which in turn will help weight loss if you eat at a deficit. And IMO, being toned is more attractive than being skinny. Here's some of my progress pics. On the first pic, I weighed 164 lbs, second one I was at 153 lbs and the last one was at 146. Feel free to friend me…

Like others have said, jumping from 1200 to 1800 is the probable cause of your gain. When you increase your calories, you should start by adding 100 cal per day for a week or two and see how it goes. If you don't notice a gain, then you can add another 100 cal to your daily goal for the following week, and so on. Be…

Being a good role model is so important. They will reap the benefits of having a healthy mother. You can also involve your kids in your fitness journey. There are great workout videos on Youtube with strollers and on the ground with toddlers. Your town might offer mommy-baby yoga lessons or stuff like that. You can also…

I'm 5'1'' and I have about 10 lbs to lose to reach my goal. I log everyday and I log everything! I aim for 40% carbs 30% protein 30% fat. I workout 5-6 days a week, resistance training mixed with yoga and a bit of cardio. From April to November, I also run, although I'm not very fast. I have a hubby and a 2 yo daughter. We…

Being a good role model for my daughter is what spurred me on this journey. Congrats for taking the first step. My advice? Consistency is key. Log your food everyday. Log acurately. Get savvy about macros. Change one habit at a time. Get a move on. Walking, cycling, skiing, whatever suits your lifestyle. Write down your…

Not the best pics, but they were the only I had on hand. We both lost 50 lbs. I have 10 lbs to go and Hubby wants to lose another 20 lbs.

You're doing great! Congrats :)

What he said. Feeling full and being hungry are 2 different things! You could reduce your servings at meals to have more snacks throughout the day. Like greek yogourt with granola, dried fruits with nuts, veggies with cheese, and so on. That way, you could eat every 2 hours.

To each their own. Find what works for you and stick to it. As for ice cream, I only have it on rare occasions. Compare the nutritional information and choose the one that fits your macros. Otherwise, there is frozen yogourt. Personaly, I'll have a smoothie before having a bowl of ice cream.

It's not a gimmick, it's a tool at your disposal. I used to have horrible macros but within my calorie goal and my weightloss was difficult. I would feel hunger even though I had enough calories (not enough protein). You can have fried food and still be within your calorie goal, but your fat % is going to be all over the…

Meal prep is key. Almost anything can be frozen up to 5-6 weeks. Some things aren't as good once heated, but that's mostly personnal preferences. I don't like heated mashed potatoes, but that doesn't mean you don't. Weigh everything so you can log acurately. You'll be suprised how far off the mark you can be! I know I was!…

I'm 5'1'', 28 yo. I started at 198 lbs and I'm now at 148. It took me 18 months to lose 50 lbs. My goal weight is 135-138, so 10 more to go. I went from pants size 18 to 12 (probably 10 once I'm done) and shirt XL to medium or small for certain brands. I lost 3 cups size (thank God!), 17 cm at the waist, 23 cm at the hips…

Sorry about that... Have you noticed the picture on the wall too? Bought it in the meantime :P

I aim for 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat and it has worked just fine for me. I've been following those macros for a year now and I have lost 50 lbs. Feel free to friend me if you would like to see my diary (don't mind the weekends, those tend to be unruly)

I'm 5'1'' and I eat 1550. I started at 198 lbs and I'm now at 154 lbs. I manage to lose 1 lb per week. Your sudden loss is probably due to water weight because of your sodium intake. As for adjusting your calories, it takes about 3 weeks to see a trend. So you can wait and see, unless you're starving. Either way, when you…

I like when people comment. Makes it feel worth it! People are just trying to celebrate the fact that you had the willpower to change.

You need a "why" so strong that giving up is not an option. One day, the weather was perfect and my 10 month old daughter asked me to open the tv instead of asking to go outside. I decided she wouldn't be fat because of the example I set. So I started running. It took a few months before I decided to get my nutrition in…

I started at 198 lbs, my goal weight is 135-138 lbs. I've been at this since Aug 2014.
-
I went from a size 18 to a size 12 (I wear Petite though) and for tops, I went from XL to medium or small.

I lost 45 lbs in a year (Aug 2014-Sept 2015). On the first pic, I had lost 15 lbs already.

Hi! Support made all the difference for me. I tried losing weight for 10 years with little to no success. Once I really surrounded myself with people who could give me advice (and of course listening to their advice...) I started to see results. It's not always easy or comfortable, but it's totally worth it! Feel free to…

Hi! My goal is to lose 60 lbs. I've been at it for a year and I'm 15 lbs away! Consistency is key. It's all about making small changes over a long period of time. I log everyday. Feel free to add me :)

Hi! Last year I was very disciplined and I ran 3 times a week every week. This summer, I have been working out at night and I'm guilty of skipping a few runs. I love it and miss it though. Let's get moving!! Feel free to add me.

Hi! I've been on my health journey for a while now. Support makes a huge difference. Feel free to add me.

Hi! I've been trying to lose weight for the last 10 years. I've been really committed for the last year. Holidays, family gatherings, birthdays, vacations, you can easily spot those on my weight loss chart. They all look like little hiccups lol What matters is to set a limit of what is acceptable during those…
