  • its maybe a little bit dysfunctional, and I would explore why THATS what made you feel good (it reminds me of my binge eating days) but if you don't find it disturbing I wouldn't worry too much.
  • You don't look anorexic or anything, but you do look thin. I wouldn't think you have any more weight to drop at this point, looks like you might just benefit from hitting the weights a little bit in the gym. Other people are usually far too willing to tell us what to do, when to do it, and even, apparently, when to stop.
  • I looked at your diary and everything seems OK, you might just have to cut back for a few days to get things moving again. I know people around here ***** and moan about people dropping their calories too low but in my experince a few days around the 700-800 calorie range gets my weight loss moving and is very helpful.
  • This is an interesting subject and goal for someone who maybe doesn't have so much weight to lose, but let me just throw in my two cents as a healthcare professional/ person trying to lose weight The scale is one of only a few tools we have at our disposal to REALLY, demonstrably, and non-subjectively measure progress.
  • Yeah, nurse here. People are ridiculous about water. There is ZERO real reason to drink gallons of water a day unless you are some kind of pro athlete or doing hard labor in 110 degree heat. You need to drink some, honestly I shoot for 64 ounces which is two water bottles full for me and that is good enough. I use lime…
  • Am I the only one who finds this pathetic? There is nothing wrong with calorie restricting to 1200 calories and in some circumstances thats the best route to go. I don't know. We all make our choices in life. Taking the blame for other people gaining wait smacks of some kind of strange martyrdom syndrome to me.
  • I don't want to oversimplify a complicated issue but I HATE the name of this otherwise interesting doc. There are TONS of factors that surround the topic of what we eat and why, like cultural things, money or lack there of, surroundings, eating disorders, marketing, jobs... BUT it comes down to you. You are the one who…
  • I'm happy for you, truly. So many people never consider options like this because they are so self righteous and resign themselves to never being totally happy. In my opinion, if you have the money for a procedure like this and you are a good surgical candidate, I think its fantastic.
  • Didn't eat junk food.
  • I don't like to characterize food in terms of good and evil. I think thats an unhealthy mentality. For weight loss, I like to stay away from sugar and foods that don't keep me full though. For that reason, I choose not to eat cereal as it is a bit of a carb bomb. I prefer an egg, or even fresh fruit (more whole nutrition)…
  • Meh, the yolk has a lot of nutrition but if you have a problem with cholesterol then you have to watch it. Personally, I eat the whole thing, but I only eat ONE egg.
  • Did you misrepresent yourself in some way? Fake pictures? Old pictures, misleading angles with the webcam that makes you look much thinner than you are? If not I would say this has zero to do with you, except that you did not pick up that he was a total wackjob before all this. Do yourself a favor, stay off the internet,…
  • I don't think there is any special magical words anyone can say to you to make you stop with the destructive eating. When you are truly finished living the way you live, you will stop. Muscle though it, in other words.
  • Honestly I feel like you can get something decent where ever you go
  • mine is open to friends, I accept just about anyone so feel free to add me.
  • Cheers. This was a brave post. If starvation mode were a real thing all of us weight loss surgery patients would be practically dead by now, but that is not the case.
  • Hmm I'm not sure but I have big questions about why this would matter. Probably not much though. This is the type of activity had is considered baseline - if you are trying to negotiate more calories burned this probably wouldn't be the activity.
  • they do a mean onion soup but its SO SALTY
  • It's all in the delivery.
  • PEAS
  • The problem is your idea of what is normal. 900 calories in one meal is not normal for anyone with the exception of maybe atheletes and lumberjacks. but sadly, its not far off from the american norm. I always had the mentality that I should be able to eat like that and still somehow manage to lose weight, and then it was…
  • Nothing wrong with a bald dude as long as he isn't funny about it
  • I'm a big person eating a steady 800 calories a day because I had weight loss surgery - these people may have had the same and are not sharing that aspect of their weight loss so I wouldnt be so fast to say that they are lying.
  • For me, the bottom line is calories, but macros do matter. Limiting carbs = limiting calories in my book. hell, a nice fatty serving of bacon is only 80 calories but that will sit like a rock in my stomach for half a day where as 80 calories of bread or something will having me starving in an hour or two and I will eat…
  • Can I ask why you feel that you need to reduce your coffee intake? Are you getting too many carbs by way of creamer or something? I guess I don't see coffee as something that takes away from my life, rather, I feel that it adds to my quality of life. I really enjoy it, I monitor the creamer I use and get on with my life.
  • I am on MyFitnessPal with varying degrees of enthusiasm depending on what is going on with my life but even if you are tired of the OCD nature that this place can sort of induce you have a problem if the scale is creeping up. I don't have magical words to incite motivation but maybe you need to give this site a break and…
  • honestly, thats probably not the best of ideas unless you are doing some sort of controlled intermittent fasting, which it doesn't sound like you are because you don't have a set number of days or anything like that.
  • I hate vanity sizing SO MUCH because it created confusion. I wish womens clothing was like mens, a 32 waist is a 32 waist. but at walmart I am an 18, at target I am a 20, in designer clothes I am a 22 or a 24 depending on how bloated I am. I don't care about the number on my jeans, I just want a predictable fit.
  • 1000 calories is not danger territory. Let her be.
