i just stumbled on your post and i think it was exactly what i needed to read in this moment. I have just started my journey (again!). This time around i am ignoring all outside advice. For lunch, frozen dinners. It's prepackaged, it's easy to transport and I actually look forward to lunchtime. It takes so little extra…

Hello! I'm a FT working mom of 2. Happily married to a man who loves to snack as much as I do! We work opposite shifts so life is stressful. Exercising means getting up earlier than I am used to. Here for the first time. Ready to make a commitment to myself. Age: 39 Goal: lose 60ish lbs

heres my 2 cents as someone with depression. Depression is a beast. and it doesn't like being told no or left to the side. your new martial arts workout is killing the depressive feelings pushing them out and making room for emotional healing. Do something that you truly enjoy on rest day. Do something that makes you feel…

starting over as well. my weight has been a yo-yo my whole life and I cannot remember a time I didn't feel the need to lose weight. I recently had success with a few months on weight watchers but their plan changed and I got frustrated. I'm finally realizing I am the only one who can make this work. So here I am! I have 60…

Hi!! I'm so excited to find a thread like this. I have been in and out of MFP too many times to count. I have 2 crazy kids :) I definitely need/want to lose weight. Haven't found the motivation to get up early enough for working out. And daily life is hectic so I need great tips for easy foods I can grab and go.…

welcome! I don't have quite as much to lose but I hear ya on 100 sounding more dramatic :) I'm sarcastic, witty, exhausted and fat too! I'm 35 and blame my kids (LOL)

Glad I found this thread. I just needed someplace to place these words: Throughout my childhood I was berated and humiliated by my family (including and mostly by my mom) for being a picky eater. I truly hated food. Almost all foods. It was awful and I was shamed and the butt of so many jokes that I hated holidays because…

I'm 5'4" and my Doc wants me at 140 :)

you can add me. I'm 5'4" 185.5 right now aiming for 138 (doc wants 140 so this gives me wiggle room) :)

just another vote for protein powder! I mix mine with unsweetened almond milk to help meet my goal of 103gr. I use Tera's Whey. It absolutely makes a big difference in my weight loss. I'm stuck without it!

i like Tera's Whey. Minimal ingredients, comes in organic. It packs a lot of protein without a lot of calories. I use it to rev up my protein intake which is very important for me :)

I track my protein and sugar. I'm currently 185.5 and aim for just over 100g of protein. I have protein powder and will do a quick shake after work or dinner if I am low on protein. I don't worry heavily about carbs/fat because as long as my protein is on track for the day the other 2 come pretty close. I do watch my sugar…

I weigh almost everyday. If I see the scale tick up even half a pound I increase my water intake and make sure I stick to calorie goals.
