As long as he isn't as dumb as box of rocks or have the personality of stick of celery, I'm good.

Ditch processed food. Bye-bye pastas, bread, cereal, etc. (don't care if it's whole wheat or whole grain). If you can't pick it off a tree, bush, vine, or pull it out of the ground or shoot it - it needs to be severely restricted from you diet. Eat lots of protein and healthy fats: eggs, nuts, fish, lean meats. WEIGHT…

Ha! I was just thinking this very thing last night when I was getting busy with the husband - my right knee was hurting. Arthritis? I'm physically fit but that doesn't mean I'll stay young forever.

I *have* to exercise first thing in the morning otherwise it will not get done. Period. I have two little ones and most nights they put ME to bed.

Have you had a check-up recently? Any family history of thyroid issues? And what are you doing for exercise? Have you included some light weight training into your routine?

I'd spend more time fashioning my character than my looks. I won't lie: I'm vain. And I plan on enjoying my youth and I work really hard to age gracefully. That said, youth fades no matter what you do! Beauty comprises looks and personality. It may seem a little hokey but if i learned anything from watching the Golden…

I only added the extra calories when i was nursing a newborn or baby that didn't eat predominantly solids. But it *does* depend on your nursing relationship. When my little ones were newbies I added 500 daily until they were at least 6-8 months. Then slowly tappered down. At one year mine only nursed 3-4 times daily but he…

Well...it's not necessary but it's highly recommended. Think of it this way: if you wake up in the morning and you aren't hungry it's because your metabolism is still in sleep mode. Breaking the fast (hence the word "breakfast") lets your body know that its time to kick into gear and that it isn't being starved. When you…

The other day I saw a lady sporting her awesome six pack abs and notices her "tiger stripes". She looked wonderful stretchmarks and all. It really motivated me to take of this last pesky 4 pounds and be proud of mine too :)

It goes without saying that I love my kids more than life itself. Sometimes I get nostalgic and think that perhaps when they see me make healthy choices it will devine some knowledge or instill some drive for them to make healthy choices also. But as a general rule of thumb my main drive to be healthy is some residual…

I love this stuff.

Rather than use the assist I hold it for as long as I can and then I very slowly and gently lower myself back down the ground and FEEL THE BURN!

Swimming and treading water will be great cardio. As for strength training you need to work two muscle groups at the same time such as combining squats with military press or lunges with arm curls to get the maximum workout for the time spent.

I feel your pain. After a little while I stopped having this **raging** cravings. You're doing yourself a favor with the distraction. The worst thing you can do is stay in the house with nothing to do on the computer with the TV on being assaulted by the food network and commercials, etc. Count the small victories too!

Very inspirational. What an accomplishment! You look so wonderful and HAPPY!

I've lost 7 lbs this month so I don't see any reason why you couldn't lose 40 lbs by the New Year. Expect some ups and downs and keep the overall goal in mind! Best of luck!

Every relationship is different. And I refuse to draw concrete lines for a working marriage as what works for one couple may not for another. With that said for *my* marriage that is totally not okay. Emotional cheating is still cheating and when one partner is spending that much time with another partner for emotional…

Honestly I don't eat cereal much for breakfast unless it's a cheat day. They are processed, loaded in carbs, and "enriched" in vitamins and minerals...it's fake food. I'd just prefer to have some eggs and fruit and occasionally a little bacon if I splurge (the real stuff). It keeps me fuller longer and they are "real"…

Both methods work very well for me. My only observation with eating clean versus portion control is feeling lousy and bloating after eating meals heavy in processed carbs (pastas, bread even if it's "healthy whole wheat", rice, etc.) regardless of whether the meals falls in my alotted calories for the meal.

When I was a single girl in the gym I did not prefer to be approached at the gym. I didn't go there to socialize I went there to work out.

I *always* gain before I start my period. Never fails.

When I crave chocolate I eat CHOCOLATE. The real stuff. My favorites are Newman's Own Dark Chocolate flavored with orange (I think it's 52% cocoa), and Green Black mint flavored (I think it's about 70% cocoa). Yum.

3 days is the absolute minimum. 4 days is ideal and 5 is an exceptional week.
