  • As you don't have a lot of weight to lose you need to reduce your calorie deficit otherwise your body will start to hold onto calories so aim to have an overall deficit of no more than 1000 calories a day for example you eat 1500 calories, your BMR is 1600 plus you burn another 500 during exercise therefore that's 2100…
  • You need to have a deficit of 3500 to lose 1 pound, so 500 a day to lose 1 pound per week.
  • I need some inspiration as I've been on this road for 12 months now!! 83lbs down 12lbs to go, add me x
  • MFP is a great tool as long as you log everything you eat and drink, it's helped me lose 55lbs so far! Good luck x
  • I have one and love it, it really motivates me to achieve my daily calorie burn! I think that it's very straight forward to understand what u need to do to lose weight once you understand your own body. I'm hoping that it will help me maintain my weight once I achieve my goal!

  • Maybe your calorie deficit is too high? Do you know how many calories your burn during the day? As you get closer to your ideal weight your body will resist losing weight because it is happy therefore you need to reduce the calorie deficit to only 500 calories between how much your body is using and how much you are eating…
  • Hi I'm no expert but I would say that you need to be eating a lot more calories especially on the days that you are only consuming 900. I don't believe in eating back the calories you burn during exercise but your body will need a certain amount of calories to function. I would suggest talking to your doctor and getting…
  • Hi I would suggest changing your processed meals because they won't provide your body with the nutrients you need and will hinder your weight loss!! Why don't you try making a fresh salad with either meat, fish or beans for your lunch? You could change your snack pack to some nuts or a piece if fruit or maybe a Greek…
  • In the beginning I didn't eat back the calories but after reading the endless posts on MFP I decided to give it a go. So a couple of weeks ago I gave it a go for a week and it was a disaster, it resulted in no weight loss at all!! This was the first week since Sept 2010 that I hadn't lost any weight over a 7 day period so…
  • Fantastic, well done!!
  • I agree this DVD is really good! Not sure how to log the exercise on MFP, have been using aerobics so far but any other suggestions welcome?
  • Thanks for the info x
  • I have read different views on this, MFP says that you should eat back your calories however Jillian Michaels says that calories burnt during exercise will help you achieve a greater level of weight loss. Personally I don't eat the calories I burn off during exercise as I would rather see a bigger lose on the scales.
  • Hi I've already lost 58lbs, 30lbs of them I have lost using this site, it's great. I've still got another 37lbs to lose so feel free to add me as a friend x
  • You could try a body wrap, they are only a short term fix but could do the trick for the day. I've heard that getting plenty of sleep is a must for losing belly fat as it is linked to the body releasing a beneficial hormone. The other thing I would try would be some body shaping underwear! Have a good time.
