Hi, I’ve just returned after nearly a year’s break. I’m 57 F and live in Australia. Could do with more accountability partners as I struggle to get back on track. Feel free to send me a friend request

Hi, I am Helen. After being prediabetic for 10 years, I have just tipped over into type 2 diabetes. Hoping to reverse than and go back to a prediabetic status, which the Dr tells me should be possible with a focus on quality of diet, daily movement and losing some weight. I got complacent, hoping to get my mojo back and…

I did the low FODMAP diet under instruction of a dietician and it has changed my life. I now know I can't eat mannitol (cauliflower, mushrooms etc) of foods where there is more fructose than glucose (apples, pears, honey, dried fruits etc) but I can eat all other categories of high FODMAP foods. The diet is not intended as…

If it is an identical product ie same brand, you can edit the nutritional information to reflect the label on the packet. BTW, just because it is the product that comes up when you scan the bar code, doesn't mean it is necessarily the same product If not, create a new food that matches it

I track everything. More than half my daily calories come from fruit and vegetables

I’m looking for new friends too as many of my old friends have moved on or are not as active anymore. Lost weight, regained a bit and now here to finish the job off. Love to hike, do weights and reformer Pilates every week and generally stay active. Not so good with my food though and need the occasional kick up the rear.…

I’m open for any new friends who interact and offer support. Have come back for a second time and many of my old friends have moved on

I'd look at the activity level you have set on mfp. If you say you are active, it already has an allowance for activity built in and you have you have to burn a set number of calories before it credits you with more
-
Wow, well done
-
Have sent you a friend request
-
Maybe it assumes that you are continuing your activity patterns without any data to the contrary?
-
If you did start a group, i would also be keen to join as i have just started the high fat version of the diet

Today I exercised - gently but at least I did exercise, and I ate within my target calories. Day 1 ✔️

I’m in guys. I have basically been marching on the spot for the past 12 months, losing the same 2 kg over and over. I am having some medical issues at the moment and am on an elimination diet, but my plan is to eat between 1450 & 1550 cals a day, and not eat back my exercise calories. I’m going to dig out the training plan…

Oh, and Sarah Jane had her own spin off series if you haven't seen it - The Sarah Jane Chronicles. Torchwood was another spin off.

Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker are the 2 I most clearly remember, though I vaguely remember the bloke before them with the recorder. I stopped watching when Peter Davidson became the Dr - not a comment on his acting, just the age I was I think.

I grew up watching Dr Who and still love it now. Loved Christopher Eccleston (the first of the new Drs), thought David Tennant gorgeous and approve of Peter Capaldi but just never warmed to Matt Smith.

Oh, and I agree, stretch and strengthen your Achilles, it should also help

You could try a metatarsal pad in that shoe, it will add a little extra padding and help cushion it. It feels weird for a day or 2 but you soon get used to it and don't notice it all.

I do it a couple of times a year, usually at the end of the season when its sizzling hot during the day. Best by the light of a full moon :-)

-
Day 29 - A couple of friends have had bad news or health scares lately so today I am extremely grateful for Gough Whitlam and the Australian health system he created - its quality and accessibility. I have fought cancer twice and won, utilising the health systems of 2 states along the way. I received exemplary care and…

Day 14 - I am grateful for all those prepared to put their life in danger to protect mine and my family's - soldiers, police, firies, ambos, SES. Very greatful for them all.
