Has anyone else experienced this? I was posting my meal, where I had Lima Beans, the back of the package listed 1/2 as having 5ms Sodium and 110 calories. But My Fitness Pal listed as 240 mg sodium and even higher calories. I don't understand the big difference. Is there some way to go in and change the numbers?

nutrition info may change over time; different companies may use different amounts of sodium in their processing etc

And the database is mostly user entered, so there are wrong entries. Try to find an entry that matches your package, if it doesn't exist, you can create your own using the package info.

You’ve not said whether your beans were from a can, frozen or cooked from the dried bean. I can’t remember whether a Lima bean is what I know of as a butter bean or a broad bean. Lima/fava?

If your bean is dried and soaked/cooked or from a can the numbers are going to be different. Try to make sure the entry you’re looking at in the database is correct for the ‘state’ your bean is.

If it is an identical product ie same brand, you can edit the nutritional information to reflect the label on the packet. BTW, just because it is the product that comes up when you scan the bar code, doesn't mean it is necessarily the same product
If not, create a new food that matches it
