  • I found the theory helpful for a few weeks, but now I'm back to struggling. I need to be more effective at reminding myself that it is my "animal brain" and to ignore it. It really is sound advice.
  • Quest bars have 17g of fiber and I east La Tortilla Factory low carb high fiber wraps...they have about 12g and chia seeds in my yogurt. If I eat all 3 in the same day that more than makes up for my requirements!

  • Tried these for the first time last night, they were better than I expected!
  • I had the same issue with getting no response...I had sent a detailed message to a mentor. I would think it even if someone didn't think the match was good or if they were already at their quota that they would just let me know  I know you're supposed to review the list and send a message, but seeing that…
  • Feel free to add me :) 33, married but no kids and my husband can't cook lol. Totally need to get my nutrition in check. Also like to run and lift...lifting is my favorite.
  • Me too! There's a great Facebook group, IIFYM Women and there are super helpful and resourceful women in the group. I'd reccommend checking it out also!

  • How about some low impact workouts from YouTube like FittnessBlender?
  • I've never been so happy to see so many pissed off ppl! More than happy to be pissed off together. I'm over wasting time working out only to screw it up. Tough love is the way to go!
  • I started and then stopped because I started working out with a trainer. Now I'm working out on my own and I'm starting back up today! Excited to see it through this time! I work out at home, but have a ton of equpment so I won't have to make many modifications other than if I can't perform something yet, like push ups.
  • Seems to me that you're putting in the work, there's no reason that you have to become a runner or jogger. As long as you're moving and you're happy with your workouts/results. If you don't want to run, don't. Simple
  • :) Feel free to send me an add, I've been around MFP for quite some time
  • not sure if anyone suggested it yet but The Shield is a great series!
  • When I started lifting I had already been going to my gym for a while and regularly saw the same trainers, so I asked for help. Can you tell me if I'm doing this right? How do I go about doing that? etc. My suggestion for getting more comfortable would be to see if you can get a training session, (most gyms provide one…
  • Hi! I do IIFYM, feel free to friend me if you'd like!
  • I make egg white omelets with veggies and cheese in the microwave and put it on a wrap, quick, easy, tasty and low in cals :)
  • Sounds like you need to train with someone you don't know and someone local. I can understand trainning with a friend and end up chatting more than working out, unelss you're both really focused and able to put that aside. As for this other trainer, she sounds like a complete jerk. I've worked out with two trainers and…
  • This ^^^^ I did one in NJ last August and it was a lot of fun, but man, it was hard to breathe or see when you're running through the "colors". At the end of the race they have a big gathering and do a countdown and everyone throws their color packet into the air, which is awesome, and looks awesome from afar, but when…
  • My husband is diabetic and these do not spike his blood sugar, as there are only about 3g of active carbs (most carbs are from fiber) and 1g of sugar for most bars
  • Where are you finding them for $1.80 per bar? Even when I buy in bulk I can't seem to get a price that low
  • What an awesome success story! I hope you are as proud of yourself as I am of you just from reading this! Way to go!!!!
  • Been to so many shows that it's hard to pick! I'd say Incubus, Muse and Bush are tied
  • when your hair freezes...happened this morning!

  • I just got a sewing machine for my birthday last month...I'm determined to learn to sew and knit in 2014! I had my sister-in-law save all of her favorite onsie's from my neices first year and I want to make a quilt with them for her for Mother's Day. Guess I better get a move on!

  • I had to take time off from lifting while I was being treated, but after I was given the ok to start lifting again, I would say it has improved my grip strength. It's definitely not great and I at times have to stop and re-grip. I can do push ups, but they have to be on a flat surface...for instance I can't do push ups on…
  • Thanks so much! :flowerforyou: Sara & SS really know what they are talking about and they're advice has put me back on the losing path :)
