  • Hello. I am Tina and trying to get back on my weight loss journey. I am 57, live in Florida and want to loose 100 pounds. I am retired from my original career and am now an adjunct professor at my local state college.
  • Good morning. Today is day 3 in a row at the gym. I’m sore, but sticking with it. I will get below 200 by the end of the year. Pushing through and keeping on track while dealing with enablers (are you sure you don’t want any ice cream) and derailers (you don’t need to go the gym every day). Where are my encouragers 🙁?
  • Hi. I’m hoping to find a community of support here as I continue on my health gaining (and weight loss) journey. I’m 56 and live in Florida.
  • Hello I’m Tina from Florida. I have been off and on MFP for years. I started at 285, got down to 189, then back up to 226. I also had PCOS, IF, and diabetes. I no more PCOS or IF. 2 kids and a hysterectomy took care of both. Diabetes is diet controlled now. Current weight is 210 with a goal of being under 200 by the end of…

  • Hi. I’m Tina, 56, live in Florida and am looking for friends and accountability partners. Trying to get back on track to lose weight and get healthy. My husband was recently diagnosed with kidney disease so we are changing the way we eat and I’m trying to get more active. I’m hoping to find support in this group.
  • Is this group open for new members? I need to loose 80 more pounds and would love support and motivation. Start weight 285 Lowest 188 Current 213 Goal 132
  • Is this a dead group? I only see 1 post since March. Looking for a good, active group to join.
  • I had severe reflux after the sleeve. This was mostly due to stricture then a ballooning, which also stalled my weight loss. I was given the option of a bracelet around my esophagus or a gastric bypass conversion. I chose the conversation. It worked! Wish I had done it a lot sooner. I no longer have the reflux, no longer…

  • Florida here. Looking for me friends for support, encouragement and motivation. I want to lose about 75 pounds. Please had me to your friend list.
  • I never reached my goal weight. My weight goes up and down about 10 pounds. Which m and I am anywhere from 75-85 down at any given time. However, I am back on track and determined to get the rest of this weight gone. If you are still active, feel free to add me as a friend and we can encourage each other.
  • I lost good for a year, stalled, regained 17 pounds, then got back on track. I have relost 11 of those pounds and am back on track with healthy eating. Feel free to friend me. My diary is open to friends.
  • My hair loss has gone in cycles. Yours should start coming back in soon. I am current finishing a second hair loss cycle, with it just starting to grow back. The funny part is when I was young I had thick curly hair. As I got older, it thinned some and straightened out a lot. After the first round of loss, it came back…
  • It is normal and should adjust in time. It takes one mile of blood vessels to circulate one pound of fat. As you lose the fat, your body has to re-absorb the vessels. During this time of adjustment, your blood pressure may be lower than normal. My BP is always on the Lw end (around 100/56), however when I drop 5-10 pounds…
  • I was sleeved in Aug 2014. Feel free to add me.

  • Boy can I relate. SW285, LW194, GW132, CW 211. I am back on track now, drinking water, low carb, tracking my intakes, getting some exercise. Hoping to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year, but realistically, would be happy to lose 26 pounds so I can finally say I lost 100 pounds. Sleeved on 8/18/14...I should have been a…
  • Add me. I want to loose 50 by the end of the year. I am currently 209.8
  • I feel like I could have written so many of the post I just read. While I hate what everyone has gone through with the weight regain, I am glad do see I am not alone with it. Trying to get back on track now and get back in control. I do believe I have read some inspiration and motivation in your post. Thank you all for…
  • Hi everyone. I got sleeved 08/14. I lost 85 lbs then gained back 10 then lost 5 then gained 10... Bottom line, I am up 15 lbs from lost sleeve weight and am still 60-80 above my goal weight. I could really use some friends, support, and accountability to get and stay back on track. Tina

  • I am a year snd a half out from surgery. I am up 13 pounds from my lowest. Getting back on the gym on the morning. I just left the grocery store with a cart full of good, clean, healthy food for the whole family. We are all getting back to healthy this year.
  • Welcome. The group hasn't been active, but I hope it starts up again.
  • I was sleeved on 8/18/14 and have lost 26 lbs so far. Zero complications from surgery. Still trying to relearn eating. (Hint, you will soon be eating smaller portions than your 3 year old!) I have recommended the surgery to others. It is truely a life style change, but well worth it.
  • You will feel better everyday. The gas should stop in the next day and the sugery scars will heal pretty quickly. Stay hydrated and move as much as you can. Remember, small sips. Drinking too large of a sip will cause pain, too. I went and bought baby spoons to eat wth so I wouldn't take to big of a bite of anything and…
  • Great advise everyone. I am frustrated at how slow I am loosing, too. Your encouragement helps. I know it will all average out in the end. I think I really need to increase my water intake and maybe my calories. I rarely hit 500 a day. It is hard to eat when you have no appetite and know that even if you do eat it will…
  • Dee, do you take calcium. Viactiv Calcium chews in chocolate work for me. it is (almost) like having two pieces of chocolate candy a day. the other sweet treat I love is sugar free Worther's original candy. Love them. try making protein shakes with frozen almond milk instead of ice and almond milk instead of water. it…
  • I was off work for 2 weeks. I could have gone back sooner, but do the nature of my job, I took the full two weeks off. At my post op appt. 1.5 weeks after the surgery, my doctor told me there was nothing that could be ripped, torn, or messed up and I was clear to resume all physical activities. He went on to say I could…
  • Hi. I'm three weeks post op (sleeved on 8/18/14). No horror stories from me either. Surgery was on a Monday morning and I was back home Tuesday afternoon. I am still adjusting to only eating small amounts of food and liquid. Feel free to add me. My diary is viewable to friends. I welcome all support and offer as much…
