  • Awesome challenge! I've recently been making poor food choices and have been BARELY under goal. Weight loss has slowed so my goal is to stay at 1200 BEFORE excercise. This challenge will really help me stay focused! Thanks!:drinker:
  • I saw a roasted grape recipe on PInterest the other day and thought it looked good too. Will have to give this a try!
  • I love the "Biggest Loser" idea. It gives even extra motivation to us competetive types! hehe:wink:
  • It's hard to believe we carry so much weight in our face. I can't seem to find my pic from last fall but that's first thing people noticed was my face was thinner. You all look awesome!
  • How do you all plan on logging your excercise video routine? Should it just be considered strength training (which I don't know why we don't get added calories for that) or calisthenics?
  • I plan on being able to run a full mile without stopping (I barely did a 1/2 today so this will be a good challenge) and completing a total of 3 miles jogged by week's end. Pray for me!
  • Ooops, meant to quote not reply to an above reply! Geesh:tongue:
  • Awesome! Thanks for the info! I had been wondering that. Now don't laugh but I actually drove around in my van the other day to "map out" my route to jog! But hey it worked and now I know from point A to point B how far it is (or rather from what block to what tree is an exact mile, lol!)
  • Got my water in but I drink water like there's no tomorrow anyway. I had to really be dedicated to get my workout of tae bo in. I finally had to make myself go to our bedroom to do tae bo while my toddler took a nap. It felt soooo good to get my excercise in!
  • This is my first MFP group I've joined. So any help you can give this newbie it would be appreciated. How do we "log" our points exactly? And thankfully the first challenge of the 8 glasses of water is an easy one. Since being pregnant with my youngest 3 years ago I get easily dehyrdated if I don't drink AT LEAST 8…
  • Congratulations! You should be very proud of yourself but even more so after becoming a mom. Juggling taking care of yourself and taking care of a little person is not easy. Great job!
  • That is funny how that works isn't it? I really need to start tracking my inches too because I'm sure my muscle will start building soon and don't want to get easily discouraged by the scale. thanks for the pointers. Keep up the great work
  • Thanks for the encouragement guys! This is the first time in maybe 8 years that I feel committed to getting and staying healthy! It's a long story but lots of thngs have led me to this determination. I know this isn't a faith-based platform but asking God for help, to overcome temptation and to push a little harder each…
  • well the tingling quit after maybe two hours after workout. Maybe it was just my bodies way of saying, "Whoa, push ups what is that?!" and freaked on me a little, haha.
  • Well if makes any difference my back is fine today it's just the few hours after I do Tae Bo and sometimes while I sleep. But today it's like nothing happened. I think I have discovered a few of the moves that may contribute to my back pain. I'll take your advice on trying lower intensity. Thanks!
  • Darn, I was hoping someone would say there was a magic set of core toning stretches and excercises I could do to get stronger. I hate to quit Tae Bo, I love it. Any alternative martial arts that would produce the cardio/strength training combo?
