  • I understand all too well! I think this is my third time. I refuse to keep losing the same weight over and over; this time I'm sticking with it until I reach my goal weight! I'm on here daily so anyone can feel free to add me!
  • I am also a teacher (year 10!) and what works best for me is a light breakfast and coffee on the way to school. I pack my lunch every day so I know exactly how many calories it will be. I personally like to eat a smaller lunch around 300-400 calories (oatmeal, yogurt, light cheese stick, etc) so I can "save" more calories…
  • I've lost 50 pounds so far and still have 80 pounds to go. I'm on here daily - anyone can add me for additional support!
  • I'm also a 30-something mom of 2 (7 and 9 years old). I work full-time and am constantly running the girls to activities. I have lost 50 pounds so far but have 70 more to go. I'm on here daily - anyone can add me!
  • I have a total of 130 pounds to lose. I have lost 48 pounds already so still have 82 to go. Always looking for additional support!
  • I agree MFP is great for tracking calories. As for recipes, I really like www.skinnytaste.com. I then import the recipe into MFP and can log it. I've made tons of her recipes and they have all been fantastic! I do also use Pinterest and SkinnyKitchen as well.

  • Hello! I would say your goal is doable! I have lost 35 pounds and counting without exercising. It's all about calories in/calories out. (Although I am wanting to start exercising for fitness soon...and maybe to get a few extra calories!!) I just put my stats into MFP and followed that pretty strictly - I actually chose to…
  • How was the transformer? My kickstarter game ends Monday and I will win - can't wait to see how much! I'm debating doing a transformer now but was curious about the winnings? Do you win a decent amount? Is it worth it? Do you feel the transformer was good motivation? Thanks!
  • Yes! It's definitely frustrating :/ I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 10 months ago and already had to my meds increased twice. Since I continue to experience the same symptoms as you pretty consistently, my doctor has ordered labs every 3 months until I remain stable for a bit. I would contact your doctor about…
  • I'm interested too! Great idea!
  • Hi all! I'm a 33 year old mom of two (8 year old and 6 year old). I am back at it again as well! I followed MyFitnessPal last year and lost over 50 pounds. Then summer came and I started slacking. Soon it was fall and the holidays were here and before I knew it I had put on 20 pounds...ugh! Crazy how fast the weight comes…

  • I'm interested! Thanks!
  • Anyone feel free to add me! SW: 270 CW: 194 GW: 140ish I've found the biggest thing is to be patient and log everything accurately. The first 40 or so pounds I lost, I did just by logging everything and a lot of estimation. Then I bought a food scale and started weighing all solids and measuring liquids (when I'm at home…
  • I'm in too if it's not too late!
  • Anyone is welcome to add me too! I'm currently 208 (started at 270) and have lots more to lose!
  • Welcome! Joining MFP is a great step to a healthier you! I've tried many different diets and have found (with the help of MFP) that it does truly come down to CICO. I'm 32 and started with 130 pounds to lose and it seemed impossible. But the cliché "one day at a time" really is true. I put my information into MFP and…
  • I like to make different protein recipes I find on Pinterest. Here are a few I've tried and liked (my husband and kids like them too!) http://momtomomnutrition.com/food-and-recipes/no-bake-chocolate-protein-bars/ http://littlebitsof.com/2015/01/pb2-protein-power-balls/…
  • I started last June at 270. I slacked significantly Oct-Dec and gained a little back. I'm currently 218. Eliminating those few months, I've lost 52 pounds in 6-7 months. I've done this by diet alone. Last week I started adding exercise into my routine - mostly so I can eat more! My calorie goal was lowered to 1200 and that…
  • Yes! I'm down 53 pounds in about 7 months by calorie counting alone! This week I started adding in exercise so I can eat more calories because my goal has been lowered to 1200 - oh and because of the added health benefits
  • My goal when I began was to lose over 100 pounds as well. I've lost 47 pounds so far and am fully committed to continue to lose (only 83 to go to my ultimate goal weight  ). MFP works for me and will for you too if you are consistent and patient. Anyone can feel free to add me - I'm on here every single day!
  • Anyone can add me as well! We can all use extra support and motivation! I'm down 46 pounds and want to lose about 70 more.
  • I completely agree with all the advice previously stated. I started at your starting weight and am currently down 46 pounds in about 6 months. I started logging every single day, even if I went over my calories (which I do every now and then). By the second or third week, it became much easier. I wasn't hungry and didn't…
  • I agree with emilybites.com and skinnytaste. I also really like skinnymom.com. I've made many of her recipes and have loved them all (even my husband and kids love them!). There is also a Skinny Mom app that is great.
  • I lost 5 pounds...yay!! Although it was my first week and I made a dramatic change in eating habits so... I know it won't continue like this but it definitely is motivating! Keep it up ladies :)
  • Hi! I'm Katie. I'm 29 years old and a married mother of two girls ages 4 and 2! I also work full time as a speech-language pathologist in an elementary school. i just started MFP and would like to lose around 100 pounds. I have always been overweight -- I want to be healthy but also set a good example for my daughters. I…
