He’s a good walking partner

I’m in!! Cause this vvv is out! Currently going on walks as my body and baby allow (he’s 12 days old). Anything more pending doctors clearance next week.

I think we just had our last freeze too. We started some seedlings in our dining room (because we're classy!) and got another 4 chicks. I am ready for all the outside items to move outside. We usually get one more snow in May, but it's typically a warmer, wet snow.

Southern CA Work - OK. We all had salary cuts, but I'm still employed/insured. Health - Staying as active as possible. Higher carbs than normal due to scarcity and buying limits on meat/dairy/veg. But everything we're eating is 100% from scratch and we haven't gone down the oreo/dorito pit I've heard so many are. Emotional…

The sun broke out, the snow is melting! Days in the mid 50s are coming!! I can start going on walks (waddles) again. [our streets are hilly/icy and I don't have a maternity coat, so couldn't really walk in the snow]

Thanks! Fortunately, since we live in the boonies, a once a month shop is our norm, so we have good supplies of certain things. And chickens! Thank goodness for the chickens...we have fresh eggs.

1 1/2 mile walk while on break from work. Done. :) I hope to get that up to 3 miles/day for as long as I can. Eating as well as possible. We're in the land of bare grocery stores and have been on lockdown for weeks, so we're eating a lot of beans and rice. It is what it is for now. It's hard to get fresh vegetables and…

<3 Hoping for 20 minute walks after each meal (our neighborhood is rural). That's it for now.

Today we finally start getting springish weather (still had snow/highs of 30 last week). Our highs are around 50 and sunny this week, so I'm hoping to get out for a few short walks a day. It should break up the work from home thing and give me a little mental health boost.

That is a WIN!!!!

Eating good, exercise good. Had an OB appointment yesterday - only up 4 pounds this pregnancy. All blood work is perfect.

Eating - good Gym - good

Hi @Genmon02!!
-
I'm in the second trimester and starting to feel more human, so I'd like to try to get to the gym 2-3x/week and watch my food (I've been eating more starches out of necessity). NOT focusing on loss, just healthy intake for a healthy baby.

Always happy to see you...in whatever form we get you. :)

Things are going well! Family is happy and healthy. Work is OK. This baby was a huuuuge surprise (our youngest turns 8 Saturday and we were done...me more than him). How are you? Another homeschooling year?

I appreciated them. :) But I went and got myself knocked up, so I'm carbing up a bit.

There is an active fasting community on the 2 Keto Dudes' forum: https://www.ketogenicforums.com/

While 20% calories from protein is frequently suggested for keto...how does that align with your body composition? How many grams of protein are you getting compared to your LBM? While I haven't experienced hair loss, I did start to supplement with silica (which helps you make collagen) and it made my skin look great and…

So...eat like I eat as part of this group...and get support like I do as part of this group...but this group is free and has some of the smartest people I've ever "met"? Nopes. I'm good.

All day, errday

I think I might cry...you're back!!!!

That makes sense. Thinking "Oh, I can just have it tomorrow" has helped me in the past. This is good too. We try to do this with our kids, reward with fun activities, not food. We still get them food treats sometimes, but not as the default.

How incredibly difficult that must be to navigate. I agree that carb cycling can work, especially in conjunction with exercise. Is there a particular reason one is against low carb? Would presenting evidence for it be effective?
-
@mmultanen, I want to be you when I grow up. I need to take better care of myself and be kinder to myself. I have a tendency to be a perfectionist and that lends itself to an all-or-nothing mentality with me. I lost 30 pounds pretty easily 09/16-12/16 and then maintained for a year eating lowish carb. 12/17 started working…

Technically, anything other than water or plain coffee/tea breaks a fast. That being said, some people in this WOE have success with fat fasts, but that's usually for extended fasting. For IF, I would try to drink the coffee black, but if a bit of MCT makes it more sustainable and doesn't stall whatever benefits you are…
