  • Running is about beating yourself. For me it was AMAZING when I ran my first 5k. After that I was hooked with always beating my time or the distance I thought I could run.

  • Outside is better. If I am training for a race I want to be outside. But, with having a little one who is just a tad too big for a jogging stroller I stay on the tredmill most of the time. I really only get out on the road once a week. :noway:
  • I never freak out if I go over my calories by less than 200 because if I am not sure on stuff I will over calculate to be on the safe side. But, I have been having a great day and a great week last week so everyone keep on logging!
  • I think you need to put on the same outfit from the first pic and take another picture and see how you feel in it! There is a difference! Keep up the work!!!!!
  • I am a single parent and I let them know right away that I can't go on dates if you call me 5 min before. I have a kid and I have to plan accordingly. Now it is a whole different story for when they are going to meet the kid! :)

  • You might be! MFP can be off with its calories for cardio but, I have found when I ride a stationary bike the calories are the closest to what I really burn. If you are doing a hard hour then you may be burning that many! Good for you.
  • I don't put cleaning house or chores as some do. I even had someone once log 15 calories for driving to work. My theory is I wasn't losing weight before when I was doing these things so I won't log it now. I just think of those as a little bit extra calories but never log them.
  • YUP! It is embarrassing but I have logged bad days too. It happens to us all! I really make sure I log everything when I go out to eat. And that is SCARY! :noway:
  • Well, unfortunately people underestimate what they eat and over estimate how many calories they burn. Sometimes people just don't know. I know I had to get a food scale and measuring cups. I also had to get a HRM so I know what I burn. MFP is bad about over calculating. It is frustrating to see that someone puts they…
  • I always wondered this too but at the end of the day I log all my creamer and what I used for my coffee and only put water in the water log. I don't freak out too much if I only had 6 glasses that day if I know I had other stuff to drink. I agree that it is a personal decision and people log differently. As long as you log…
  • Yep. I use it everyday! I love that I can easily scan stuff. I even use it at home quite frequently. I usually only get on the computer towards the end of the night so I can look at everything like sodium, protein and fats. :)

  • The doctor scale is always 5lbs more then my scale at home. But that Is the scale I weigh in on so I will stick with it. I weigh in the morning usually naked. I don't really fret too much about other scales or whatnot.
  • I get what you are trying to say. However, I don't think this is a real issue until the child is over three and can start opening their own food. Then a child needs to be aware or over eating or being told no, whatever the case may be. I do think it is a bit harsh to judge a baby. My child is 3. She is 42 inches tall and…
  • I don't give up my coffee. I did however give up coffee/frappe's from fast food place or gas stations or anywhere where the calories might not be accurate. If I make it, I know what I use. :)

  • Being an AMAZING single parent.
  • I am also on daily and always welcome new friends!
  • Well yes MFP over estimates for example I ran 4 miles today and I guess (yes guess, I don't have a HRM, YET!) that I burn 100 calories a mile. So that equals 400 calories. I put it in MFP and they gave me over 1000 calories so I adjusted it down to 400 and I will eat them back. Also, if I go a tad over I won't freak out.…
  • I'd have another hotmomma to hang out with!
  • Splenda and 2 tbls of sugar free creamer. 30 calories a cup! :)
  • I think Howie has a GREAT shot at winning.
  • Wow they did??
  • I like Candice and Elissa (Even though I do think she talks weird and didn't care for Rachel). I am not really a fan of GinaMarie or Aaryn.
  • I actually started about three years ago after I had my daughter. I thought I wanted to lose the baby weight and then as I learned more I wanted to be a healthy role model. I lost about 60 pounds and was in pretty decent shape. I got a job at a restaurant and gained about 20-25 pounds back because the food was right there.…
  • I am interested to know too....
  • As you lose your weight you will lose it all over. Your bigger areas will take longer to lose from and will probably stay bigger for a little bit. But, keep taking pictures, keep measuring so you know you are doing it right and stay motivated! :flowerforyou: Also, keep tracking.
  • Very well said!!! I ALWAYS give secret kudos when I see someone overweight working out. I always think it is great when I see people out walking or jogging too! I have been there and it is embarrassing but SO WORTH IT!! :) :flowerforyou: Here you go OP
  • Maybe not what you want to hear but I did have a marriage like this. I left him. My child is important. My happiness is important and I left. I am much happier. Everyone is different maybe he is unaware of this and you need to bring it up to him. Also make time for you. get a pedicure or something to get YOU out and have a…
