  • I would say most days I probably fall short. It's something I've been meaning to work on though. I would say on average I get 2-3 servings of veggies a day and 1-2 servings of fruit, so not too far off, but I know there are days when I get more like 1.5 servings of veggies and only 1 fruit. :/

  • Girl I feel you. And I agree you need to figure out what's causing you to binge. Usually it's an emotional thing, but it could also be hunger. Sounds like you didn't eat all that much throughout the day. When I come home ravenous I will eat anything that comes near me, and then I binge because I feel guilty that I ate…
  • I've been ramping up my protein and cutting my carbs for the past two weeks as I've gotten more into lifting. It's a challenge even as a pescatarian and even harder if you're a strict veggie. You can check out my diary for some ideas though (please ignore this weekend, it was a bit of a CF). Basically I eat a lot of Quorn…
  • Holy moly Mandy! Thank you for the article! I think that I will try to request an unplugged ceremony because I don't want all my pictures ruined! Although having it outside at 4:30 should hopefully minimize the use of flash...
  • GG: Valid point! Gina: I love Quorn. :) Going to have some tonight for dinner actually!!
  • Robin, I like VegaOne. It doesn't taste GREAT but it's not bad and it's vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free. I like mine blended with a small banana, 3 ice cubes, and unsweetened almond milk.
  • I feel very frustrated when people say that vegetarians can't eat low-carb because vegetables are carbs. By that logic, anyone on a low-carb diet would not eat any vegetables. Well, that's obviously not so. You avoid the starchy ones. And vegetarians are perfectly capable of doing the same while enjoying the low-carb…
  • I've always had very fine, thin hair and one thing I've noticed is that the longer I let it grow, the faster it falls out. It has something to do with growth cycles. I'm not sure if it will help you because the cause of your hair loss may be very different from mine, but have you tried cutting it shorter to see if it…
  • I saw a few when I went to a big local mall and looked in EVERY DANG SHOP!! By far the best place to find them has been online, but then you have to wait for them to be shipped to you to try them on. I found a pair of purple heels from Zappos that I looove but I need to send them back for a half-size smaller. Apparently…

  • Also, a "binge" is not classified by how much food you eat but how you feel about eating it. As you can see here, only ONE of the bullet points relates to the volume of food consumed, and the rest are about how it is consumed and how you feel about it.…
  • I also struggle with binge eating disorder. The reason we have this disorder is because we don't know what to do - other than eat - to deal with our emotions. So, while I think your plan is fine from a nutritional perspective, it is not good for your digestive process to take in that much food at once, nor is it going to…
  • I tend to agree with Chuckles. People are probably going to do whatever they want, regardless of what you ask. (Unfair, I know! The bride should always get her way!!) I think the idea about having the bridesmaid/groomsman help out is a great one. Since your party is small, maybe you could ask some other folks to pitch in,…
  • Great idea and I hope you stick with it! I used to weigh in every day and it fueled some really unhealthy behaviors because I wanted to see it move every day. If it moved in the wrong direction or not at all, I was depressed all day. And the silly thing is, a lot of factors besides your body fat percentage play into your…
  • I've been looking for blue for something blue or purple (to match my bridesmaids). Blue is surprisingly a lot easier to find. I think it would be cute to do because everyone will just see a little pop of it beneath my dress, and we're skipping the whole garter thing.

  • Just started following your board, Robin. This is GREAT. I've been killing myself trying to find comfortable shoes with a low heel and you've got a board all set up with everything I need!!

  • It totally does creep up on you. Buying the dress is so exciting!! Good luck with shopping. :)
  • Ellen, what's your plan for dealing with the height difference on the flats vs. the heels? I was going to do the same thing but I got talked out of it by the bridal salon because they said my dress would be too long if they hemmed it for the heels and too short if they hemmed it for the flats. :( P.S. Your shoes are so fun…

  • It is exciting!! Thanks for the advice/perspectives ladies. :)
  • When I'm craving something sweet, I make the chocolate PB2 with a little extra water so that it's more syrupy and drizzle over banana slices or dip in strawberries, apple slices, or pretzels. Like others mentioned, it's also great in vanilla Greek yogurt, and I've added it to my Vega One chocolate shakes before for a…

  • I know I'm a little late to respond but I took a trip to Glacier National Park in Montana with my fiance a couple of years ago in July. It was amazing if you like hiking/outdoorsy stuff. The views are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen and if it's a very warm day (usually it's pretty mild there) you can go white…
  • P.S. If that's a picture of your dress, it's gorgeous!
  • Do you know how much is "too much"? I think I read somewhere that the max is 2 sizes - I already ordered my dress a size smaller in the hips because my measurements were different for my hips and waist/bust. I mean I guess worst case scenario is that I'd have to gain weight, right? I think I could handle that. ;)
  • Typically the dresses are fit tight enough to your torso that the sewn in cups do work pretty well, even for a bigger bust. My grandma wanted me to buy a gown with straps to "hold things in place" but once I started trying on dresses I noticed how well everything stays in place because the gowns are so structured to begin…
