I do, daily. I eat at 11 and 5 nothing in between or after...usually. Sometimes schedules get out of whack but on a basic day, that's how I eat.

I worked with people with both mental and physical disabilities for years until I became physically disabled myself. Hoping that losing weight I might be able to return to work. Possible home caregiver position.

I have lived with CHF for years. Be careful about how much sodium you consume. It is in EVERYthing. Drink water and see your doctor. Are you on Lasix? If not, your doctor may want to put you on a low dose. It is wonderful at reducing retention. Also foods that are rich in potassium can help. Potassium-rich fruits include…

Never eat under 1200 calories a day.

Walking isTHE BEST exercise for the obese. It is something we all do unless we have a disability that prevents it. In June 2014 I started out walking, then added low impact aerobics. I also went to YouTube and found videos for the obese on a station called LaunchPad, which are seated strength training moves to strengthen…

I love my spiralizer!!! Zuchgetti is THE BEST!

I guess 16 isn't bad for a newb. I noticed several that are on my bucket list lol.

I made these again using the correct ingredients this time and they were even better than the first time. I will also tell you that I made a 'regular' brownie recipe for my grandchildren with sugar and all that. Guess what!!! They like this recipe better than the other one!!! This is now my "go to" brownie recipe. Thanks…

Only because I had more than a couple of people warn me to run one day, take a day off, repeat lol. I wanted to run everyday. Had it not been for good people on here enlightening me..well....

The only reason I use the app is mainly to keep up with how long I am running, and especially calorie burn since I am in the weight loss process. I am not really concerned about how far at this point.

It's your fault LWR. You and all the other runners who are addicted. You kept talking about the great high. I tried it, now I'm hooked. It's like, I want more but don't want to overdo and come down with an injury. That would really bum me out so for now I shall stick to 3 days a week.

Thanks LoneWolfRunner...my mentor :)

I was starting week 4 of C25K and ditched it because it just wasn't compatible with my phone. I use RunKeeper and saw the "learn to run" program on there but decided to use the feature that let me create my own workout. What I would suggest * and I am by no means an expert* is to take a timed run and see just how long you…

Thanks for the push, folks. I kept watching radar and found a small window so I got out there and got it done. It was a nice 35 minute run with light drizzle, which I don't melt so... lol. I could hear thunder but it was off in the distance. I kept going until it got too close for comfort. As for other workouts, I do…

That is the problem....lightning flashing big time. I run in the rain but not in storms. And from the looks of the weather radar, it's gonna be an all-nighter.

Awesome vid and answered more than one of my questions. thanks for posting

Lol, it's all the growth hormones and steroids they are giving to the animals these days to make them grow faster and larger. Roid-Rage!!! lol

ROFL umm no, that isn't my reason for thinking of returning to the vegan lifestyle. Like I said, I felt better when I did not eat meat. And yes, you CAN get all the protein you need from a plant based diet. I didn't say I was going to go out and eat grass lol. I said that it stands to reason that if animals can get their…

Where do cows get their protein? From the plants they eat. It stands to reason the same can be true for humans. It is a matter of preference, imho. As I stated, I lived as a raw vegan for over a year. It wasn't the protein I missed so much, it was the cooked foods. The meat just slipped back in but I'm thinking seriously…

Plant based proteins are much less expensive than their animal alternatives.
-
I was raw vegan for over a year. Sometimes I think I should go back to being one or at least vegan.

Camelbaks are awesome. Hubby and I used them for long hikes.

AwesomeSauce!!! I plan to run my first 5K in October. Major Congrats!!!

I just started in this sport they call "Running". I have no visions of grandeur of winning races and getting trophies. That isn't what I am in this for. However, I am THE BEST! I may not be the best in a race, as I have yet to run one, but I am THE BEST I can be and getting better all the time. I fell in love with running…

I don't know what time frame you are working in but the C25K program is awesome. You only run every other day. On my off days I do Circuit Training. C25K is a 9 week program. Also, ditch the treadmill. It doesn't work the muscles that you need to pull you forward as much.

I like MyChocolateDiet's thoughts as well. Take up something that lasts longer. I took up running. I could go years bettering my personal records. You can do this with swimming as well other activities. The main thing is to find what resonates with you.

I don't know how old you are but when you get to be my age. aesthetics mean diddlesquat. It's all about feeling healthier, better, stronger. I agree with stupidloser about not depriving yourself. Give yourself small treats here and there but in general eat a healthy diet.

All of these pics are FABULOUS!!!
