Lost my motivation.

Hey all!

I seem to have lost my reasons for losing weight. I finished insanity a month ago and was down to 170 from 190. I look and feel way better since insanity. Yet, in the last 6 weeks I've been just eating junk and averaging about 2200-3000 calories a day and now I'm up to 178 pounds. Part of me wants to keep going but it's mostly for aesthetics. I don't really see a reason why I should continue this weight loss journey. I find that eating healthy is much easier and fun for me when there's a goal to look forward to that is not a number on a scale. If you have been in my situation, what did you do? Or do you have any advice??

Thanks

DON'T DEPRIVE YOURSELF OF CRAVINGS. YOU WILL END UP BINGE EATING. INSTEAD TREAT YOURSELF TO A LITTLE HERE AND A LITTLE THERE.

I don't know how old you are but when you get to be my age. aesthetics mean diddlesquat. It's all about feeling healthier, better, stronger. I agree with stupidloser about not depriving yourself. Give yourself small treats here and there but in general eat a healthy diet.

I guess maybe you could choose a program that lasts longer than Insanity? It seems like you are saying THAT was your motivation, not a number on a scale?

Maybe make a list of activities you'd like to do one after the other?

    Insanity
    Insanity again
    p90x
    Prancersize
Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies...I mean IDK, whatever you like that you personally dig, but you know if the program is too short make a long list that will take awhile to get through and put it on your fridge maybe?

I like MyChocolateDiet's thoughts as well. Take up something that lasts longer. I took up running. I could go years bettering my personal records. You can do this with swimming as well other activities. The main thing is to find what resonates with you.

I agree! I don't go by the scale and rarely ever weigh myself. Set a goal for yourself, whatever that might be, and push forward.
