I so get it with getting excited about an exercise and then BAM! everything stops. Hang in there, maybe use a heating pad or an ice pad i(if swollen). You'll be back on your feet, in the mean time maybe get a walking DVD (i just purchased Lesles Sansone's) it is a good workout (only 15 min to start). Instead of cookies,…

On the website everydayhealth.com there are some scrumptious recipes. The cool thing is they let you know if it's a good recipe for diabetics, heart disease and such. I'm going to try two recipes this weekend. Apple Confit Recipe - 98 cal per serving consists of apples, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon in a slow cooker.…

Do you like a light lunch? I've been eating soup lately because it's low calorie and filling. Making your own it most ideal, but out of the can is okay if you watch your sodium the rest of the day.

Hi my name is Kathy, just married my college sweetheart last September. We have been together since 1983, engaged since 1994, and finally married in 2011. We liked our independence but still being committed to each other, however, he almost died in November 2010 due to a tear in his Aorta. Totally shocked us and we live…

I plan on looking into a HRM, the BodyMedia Fit sounds awsome! Something I would like down the road. Thanks for asking Katie, it's a good weekend for me as far as PT. I've been stretching the calve muscle and it seems to be making a difference. I'm almost at a "normal" walk by taking baby, still can't walk normal stride or…

What an awsome post, 1. Most important for me - Mental motivation of wanting to succeed. 2. Exercise everyday, even if it's a small walk 3. Portion/calorie control

I would like to work on my finances. I spend way too much and I really should get on a budget and save for my future. I'm one of those people who goes to store and never sticks to my list. (kind of like my diet, I go over my calories not thinking of the long term health risk of being overweight). I'll have to work on that.

1. try walking normal instead of leading with left foot and pulling right foot forward 2. stop eating after 7pm 3. no drinking poo's (empty calories) til the weekend! nice post!! Thanks :)

It made my day yesterday! I have it all set up and ready to go. I ordered Dance 3 and it should be arriving any day now! I did send 3 messages out to friends who were off line for at 4 days. I too was in their boat, it wasn't until I started adding friends that I've really stuck with it. We'll get them back with a little…

I changed my diary to read the sugar intake i'm taking (which stores fat) and no wonder i'm not losing. My sugar is way over the norm!! I'm not a diabetic, but cant excercise due to a surgery late fall. Once I can start exercising, I'm hoping my weight loss will start happening. Good lucK!

I have the same issue and for me it was just a habit. I've learned to turn the alarm off and immediately move my feet off the bed. I'll sit there for a minute waking up, Then a quick stretch and my day starts. Good luck

I like both Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones. My favorites are the Lean Cuisine Panini Sandwiches! I also like the Lean Hot Pockets. If I'm running late out the door, I'll grab an instant oatmeal or a Lean Cuisine breakfast sandwich.

Great ideas, thanks! I like the almond, pistachio, and cchips idea, may try that next week! I based my calories using the tools MFP provides and they gave me the 1200 limit (ooops, sorry I meant 1220 due to my age!) See there are some benefits with getting older:bigsmile: I tried something different this week, I spanned…

I can bring anything in (there's a fridge and microwave), I try to avoid the lounge though - goodies everywhere!! My water intake is great. It's so hard to find "low calorie, sodium, sugar" foods. I try to balance it out 350 cal for breakfast, 350 cal for lunch, 350 cal for dinner, but it's just not that simple. 1200…

ah-oh, no excuses here, looks like your punishment will be an extra 20 laps!!! It is hard after you close up shop for the night and a craving kicks in but you're owning up to it and that's being accountable. You will be successful by that process alone :)

Hi Rebecca, What a great post! I'm pretty good about drinking my water, but not so good on logging it in my diary. I'll make that my goal today. Thanks for the reminder! Kathy
