I missed posting on Friday. My accomplishment was going to my first 2 weight/strength training classes and more cardio. Committed to 3 mornings a week. 6 a.m.!AACKK! I always know I am on the right track with movement when my laundry basket is full of work out clothes! Food not as great. And too much wine. :( I have the…

Good job people! I was excited to post my first gym weight training session today...but the trainer cancelled! I did watch Biggest Loser which always inspires me. I guess this weeks accomplishment will have to be that I have logged for over 40 days straight. I often drop off at dinner or after. Looking for more inner…

My wifi was down yesterday...my weekly accomplishment is that my family had pizza TWICE this week and I didn't have a bite!

Less wine + more movement = looser jeans?

Will you make a group, please? (not sure how!) I turn 50 on December 5th and want to celebrate in Kauai. I thought by this age I would not be battling the self image crud. Thanksgiving is a perfect goal. My goals are to be back in my favorite size 10 jeans on Thanksgiving Day. Don't care how much that is, but I know it…

Just the committment push I needed. Thanks and great job!

So inspiring and so valid! I lost my mom in June and since then I put back ON the 18 I lost. Back on track, and it feels good when your brain catches up. Tired of being mean to myself! Thanks for the reminder.

You may never get a call back. I would walk back in and TALK to the management, with a copy of a letter in hand to corporate, and ask to bring in the "trainer" when you speak to the manager.

 While I agree with everyone saying that you look fantastic, I bet you FEEL even better, both physically and mentally. Thanks for the inspiration.

First of all CONGRATS on the 6.5...even the 3! This proves you CAN do it. Is your husband overweight? Over my many years of the battle of the bulge, I find that people who aren't happy with themselves unconsciously sabbotage a friend/partner's success. TELL him how you feel, that his remarks did not support what you are…

Thanks...I have done the ice bottle. I had PF on the other heel a couple years ago. And I do stretch and have used a sleeping sock. This time the pain is an actual bump on the heel. Previously the other heel was sore with no bump. My sports doc is out until August, so he suggested Aleve until I could get in to see him.…

This is something I FEAR should I take on more travel. I agree with the excersise bands. There are SO many things they can be used for. I always be sure that the hotel has a gym. Although, there are trips that are so turn and burn, there is no time. I have logged everything for 170 days...even the not such smart choices on…

Welcome Fellow Nor Cal MFP-er! I am the same age as you and live in Santa Rosa. I have been at a stalemate lately. I workout daily, but finding it hard to say no to the old things that keep haunting me. My successful MFP friends continue to remind me that it is a Marathon, not a Sprint. You WILL have success by Maui-time!

I leave it blank and do time. I usually do a few sets througout the day, and just total it.

yum...now I am hungry!!!

Awesome job, all the way around. You look stunning and can hardly see where there is much more to go! Inspirational. Congrats!

that I added another 5 minutes to the elliptical and 45 pushups to my workout.
-
Yes, I am concerned, but plan to keep the workouts in to balance it out. Try veggies and hummus instead of chips and dip. Enjoy!
-
Hey, that is a lot better than my pre-bed snack last night: ice cream and saltine crackers! Paying for it today!
-
yikes! I am part of a 45 a day group, now I need to add 105 more?!?!
-
This is me, too. So frustrating, even tho I am under cals about 75% of the time. Check into zig zagging discussions. Good luck!

Yippee! I did the same thing last week. I grabbed a pair of size 8's from the rack cuz they looked "fit-able". Granted every manufacturer runs differently, but heck I will TAKE it! They are snug, but look good. I don't think I will ever be a true 8, but I have one pair of shorts that say I am! Keep up the good work!

oh, and try to stay away from refried beans, sour cream, guac or cream sauce.

Street tacos- small soft corn tortillas and ask for grilled chicken, with cilantro, onions and salsa. No cheese. You can have 2 or 3 of those. If they come with 2 tortillas per taco, take one off. Ask for a side of whole black beans if they have them. Good Luck!

Google it. It is everywhere. ALSO, try Caulifower rice. I made "fried" rice with it, and my kids had NO idea it was cauliflower. Let us know if you find a great recipe! Oh, also cauliflower pizza! Who knew?

I found a good one on Exercise Tv on ON Demand/Comcast. It is called Metabolism Booste0r by Jessica Smith, and with cool down is about 20 minutes. What I like is that it incorporates cardio blast with strenght training. I usually do it before I do my elliptical. You can download it here for $1.99…

I am right there with you. In zumba tonight I felt bouncy and fat and could hardly look in the mirror. I am hoping it is PMS. Why are we SO hard on ourselves. Think of where we were 15 pounds ago, though. We are way better off now!
-
wow! Good for you. That had already shown BIG TIME! Keep her goin'!

We may have to be "friends". I have lived in Sonoma County for 8 years now and I don't know the last time I had a "cocktail". Chard, Merlot, Pinot! AACK. I went dry my fisrt 14 days on MFP, but I guarantee my slower loss is due to the wine! I try to earn my wine calories. Balance. Good food paired with good wine...Why…
