Congratulations! It's great to see all of your hard work paying off. You will make a beautiful bride. Your fiancé is one lucky man!

Yes!

There is a slight benefit in doing lifting first (after a proper warm-up). You cannot lift as much if you have tired yourself out with cardio. Some prefer the other way around, but I do my heavy lifting first.

You've taken the first step by asking for help. Agree with everything said up above, just go to the gym and get started. Feel free to ask for help while you are there, everyone likes to feel like an expert. If you find free weights and the machines too intimidating, don't be afraid to rock the bodyweight exercises:…

(except for those 55 lbs of fat I was carrying around my stomach, the equivalent of my two children) I workout so I don't need to worry about what I eat or think about nutrition. I don't need to do cardio since I lift weights. I'm not as fat as I look in the pictures.

I say "Thank you for noticing! You made my day."

65 with perfect form (no rest). With rest in the up position, I can do 110.

Everything! I'd say your smile and eyes. Nice legs, too!

Great job! I think it helps not to think about your end goal, just think about the next 5 lbs. and reward yourself once you reach it. Also, realize that you will probably be the last to see the dramatic changes you are undergoing. Keep it up!

Great job!

Started on April 15th, reached it on October 24th. So little over 6 months to lose 55 lbs. I did the math and I averaged 1000 calorie deficiency to accomplish my goal. I would have been happy with 18 months to reach my goal, but once I got started, I kept wanting to do more healthy things.

I sleep much better, I'm happier, and I don't get sick whereas the rest of my family does during cold and flu season.

@Goblynn: Ummmmmm, I rather not say.... :-) They were provided by my wife, you can use your imagination, but certain things are very powerful motivators for men. But that's not really the point. The point is to provide a framework of small reachable goals with rewards of escalating value that you value. This will be…
