  • I grew up in Ellis Grove, down by Chester, but a lot of my family lives in the Belleville area now.
  • Also, I just looked at your profile and realized you are from Illinois! I live in Georgia now, but grew up a little south of there! Nice to see a fellow Illinoisian!
  • I too have an underactive thryoid, although not naturally. Mine used to be overactive, but I had to have the radioactive iodine treatment done due to mine not responding to pills. My major symptoms are dry skin, hair shedding, and just moodiness. I have had issues with my thyroid for almost 10 years(I will be 25 in July)…
  • I'm 24, almost 25 and have had issues with my thyroid since I was about 15, so I definitely understand how you feel! Keep up the great work!
  • These do look awesome! Will have to try!
  • Awesome job! Just keep doing what you're doing(as long as it's healthy) and keep up the good work!
  • I've been on both sides of the thyroid issues. I used to have hyperthyroidism and i couldn't gain weight, but went through a radioactive iodine treatment which basically kills the thyroid, resulting in hypothyroidism. I currently take 125 mcg of synthroid a day and the weight is slow to come off, but it does! If you are…
  • Yes I can see a difference! Awesome job sticking with insanity! I got to the 1 1/2 month mark but had to stop because of a foot injury, so I am doing P90X periodically because there's not as much jumping etc....You've made it this far, so just keep going and I'm sure the results will definitely show your hard work!
  • You don't necessarily have to go to the gym to lose weight. Several members here workout from home and achieve fantastic results. For ideas on workouts, youtube has tons of options and well as www.fitnessblender.com. If you would rather go to the gym, I don't really have much to offer as I workout from home. Good luck!
  • I was extremely hyperthyroid(resting hr 130) and had to have the radioactive iodine treatment to basically kill off my thyroid. It took a while for my levels to settle, and I now currently take 175mcg of synthroid every day to stay at the normal tsh levels. I had gained a lot of weight from it, but I am now losing pretty…
  • I love working out in the morning! I used to workout at night, but I found that I would just make too many excuses or just not have the energy for it. Since my son started school, I have to wake up early anyways to get him on the bus, so I have like an hour- to an hour and a half of time to spare before I have to get ready…
  • I always eat at least half of my exercise calories back, so yes you should be eating at least part of the calories you burn from exercise. I started noticing that if I didn't eat those calories back I wouldn't lose any weight, but since I've started to eat a little more the weight is starting to fall off. Good Luck!!
  • I also need some friends! I will send you a request!
  • I live in Hinesville (by Ft. Stewart) here in Georgia!
