Same for me Jerilyn - Low carb is helping a lot for me as well. My biggest issue is not eating enough calories since I am full all of the time. Stomach issues are much better...

I eat 20-2200 to lose weight, my TDEE is around 26-2700, If you like to eat try going up and seeing where you wind up! You can check out the TDEE calculator here: http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/ . Most people are moderate activity.

It depends on what you want to do. Do you want to know what your real TDEE is? Then start increasing a little at a time until you stop losing weight - if not go ahead and stay at a cut for 6-12 weeks then go up to TDEE for a couple of weeks to keep your metabolism up and give your body a break.

The best way to figure it out is to do a reset and actually see what you can eat without gaining inches (fat). There is a tutorial on the start here thread. I would go for maintaining for a while while tracking - making sure to get plenty of protein, then do a cut after you figure out where you are actually at. Sounds like…

Update, not losing, not gaining. Struggling with digestive issues and fatigue. Hurting all over today probably because I accidentally ate some wheat yesterday (stupid soy sauce). Even off the wheat I still have have bad bloating gas and other issues on and off - lately more on than off. I tried going off dairy, Celiac can…

Welcome LaTrice!

How did you figure out your TDEE, did you include your weekly exercise? If not then you will need to eat those calories in addition to your TDEE.

Welcome Back :)

That's a good plan, I noticed my fitbit calorie goal was much higher.
-
@heybales thats a good idea if I can remember to do it LOL. I think I will go ahead and log a teaching session as about half the calories as a regular training session, which is about what it averages out to be in terms of activity. I was worried about over-inflating my calories but since it replaces the fitbit step for…

@jvezzsb01 I will do my best :D Update today: I eat each day using my activity calories added to my base level of calories (15% cut from inactive for about 1 lb per week). I've also enabled negative calorie adjustments so I eat less on days I am not active. Up until yesterday I had never had a day with negative caloric…

Just can't get used to using Facebook for EM2WL I feel like I miss so much they way they do their posts (well that and I probably only check once a week or so) and I feel like I don't know anyone there so I will keep checking in here. Update on myself. Finally getting into a routine since I quit my job to run my Karate…

@MDAJACMAC You can check out mine - but you will have to go back a ways - I have been on a break :) Back at it now, so you can also follow going forward. I set mine at sedentary to lose half a lb per week and I eat back my exercise calories.

welcome too Jean and Keisha!

HI Melissa, not sure what a VSG patient is, but you can find information on how to do the reset in the Start here forum. The biggest help to jump my metabolism was to find out what my TDEE was and eating 30/30/40 carbs/fate/protein. I went up and ate at maintenance (TDEE) for a while and now I lose without being tired and…

Welcome! Its a great place to be!

Actually we are now moving to a new and bigger established location - probably why its so easy to stay at a cut - I am too busy to eat LOL. But I am quitting my full time job at the end of the month so it will be smoother then when I have more time. Thanks you for the link - I will read it now!

I haven't been checking in for a while - because I was mostly at TDEE fro about 9 months. Now I am finally able to cut. I have a question though - how do you know when its time to take a break from the cut and move back up to TDEE for a bit? I am about 45 lbs overweight and losing about 0.5 lb a week or a little over that.…

Welcome Randi! Yes this will work for your husband too, he just needs to figure out his TDEE and go from there. Sounds like you have a good handle on this. The only thing I am guessing is that with the cardio you do you need to be at the strenuous activity level. If it helps - create a thread down below and you can keep us…
