I need friends too! Just getting back on here after a year. Looking forward to getting it right this time. Would love to have you as a friend.

I just want to ask if you are OK? What I'm getting is not so much narcissism, but, fear, desperation and hopelessness. We all want to be loved. And, truly it does start with self love. We can't always please everyone. But, as long as you know that you've given your best, what more can anyone ask. No one is useless. We all…

I'm 50+ with hypothyroidism. Yep. It's a struggle some days but, you have to keep on trucking.

Always willing to support! Welcome to MFP! I too have a sit down job, added to 50+. Trying to make it happen. Wishing you all the best. Add me.

Eat only dark chocolate for cravings and take a supplement of Glutamine, an amino acid. It helps to curb your desire/craving for sweets.

I'm over 50 and gonna try it again! Been a member for a couple of years, get discouraged, quit and try it again. So here I am again. Currently, I'm on a 21 day Purification. On day two and everything is going surprisingly spendid! Veggies, Fruits, and shakes. I have to say I definitely feel a difference and I'm looking…

Unfortunately, drinking is going to be a draw back. I read somewhere that when you drink alcohol, the body attempts to process it before processing anything else consumed. It wants to rid itself of the "poison". Thus, there is a backup in the digestion area, food sitting, waiting it's turn so to speak. I've gotten the best…

The most common problem with the cycle is water retention. parsley is a great diuretic. add to smoothie or juice. stay away from salty foods too.

Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to leave a response. I've got to find a happy medium somehow. I purchased a eliptical machine, got into it, where I was on it twice a day for 30 minutes. Kept track of what I was eating and not going over calories. No weight loss, but pulled a muscle and was out of commission for…

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out.

I've done my homework and I'm satisfied. Now do yours....

I'm not surprised by your negativity. I see from your profile - you don't like people.... As americans, we consume a lot of food, more than average. And, a lot of foods with chemical additives, artificial flavoring, and crap no one can pronouce, let alone spell. I could go on but I'm not here to write a book. All of which…

I think a juice cleanse is a great idea. If you own a juicer, it will not be costly at all. You can get great benefit from juicing. While you can't sit down and eat a bunch of kale. You can juice a bunch and reap all the nutrition from it. I juice on occasion (never tried a total juice cleanse, not disciplined enough) and…

By the way Rasha, you are absolutely beautiful in your profile pic. I wouldn't change a thing!

I've definitely got to lose 80+lbs! Haven't lost any yet! Struggling to stay focused. Just coming back to mfp, gonna try it again. Tired of the weight and potential health issues. Would love to be friends with all! Need motivation badly!

Not a diabetic yet. Probably will be if I don't lose the weight. Got 50+ lbs to go but, think I'll try with small goals (10lb increments). Just getting back on the site after I'd say 8 months. Gonna give it ye ole try again.... Best of luck to you! If I can be of help let me know.

Ladies, thank you for your suggestions. I've tried "the talk", and "the vacation." And it circles back around to business. He's a good guy, is very driven and knows what he wants to accomplish. I want to help, but I don't want to live just for him. His passion is not my passion. I need me time. And, I find it irritating…

Wow Snoozie! There is nothing "snoozie" about what you've done for us. LOL! Thank you for taking your precious time to type this information out and sharing it with all of us. It makes a lot of sense..... I'd like to add something I've just learned and hopefully helpful to all .... That is - many of us (me) see our bodies…

Thanks Alice for putting this all together and for the invite! I've been struggling to loose weight for years. I haven't been satisfied with my weight since my first time quitting smoking (I believe I've quit three times). I'd always been tall (5'9") and slender but, with a big appetite. And, I grew up with four brothers…

Take a bath in very hot water and add some epsom salts. Really works wonders on getting the inflammation out of muscles.

OMG Snoozie! I didn't realize there where so many women on here with the same issues. This is awesome! I want to be friends with everybody. I just turned 55 and I'm struggling to lose the weight. so far, nothing has worked for me but, I haven't given up. Last month I purchased an eliptical trainer and I'm up to 30 minutes…

I'm in the bay area. How about you?

Nope! You're not being played YET! Get over him before you get into him. Something else and yes more important to him, is occupying his time. Either, he's got somebody else or he's on drugs. Believe it!

Welcome to MFP! I've made some wonderful friends on here. Most everyone will try their best to be as helpful as possible. So what you've already used 400 calories. You're just starting out and you will have to make some adjustments. Your friendswill share with you little things they've used to overcome obstacles. I think…

Hi kimmyt93, thanks for bringing up this subject. Ive been reading the responses. I didn't realize so many people suffer with hypothyroidism as I do. I've been so frustrated on my weightloss journey. I feel tired all the time, and feel like I'm dragging around an anchor when going up stairs. Everything I eat goes straight…
