i would say that should be based off what goals you are trying to achieve. Looking to just lose weight and trim up I would track caloric intake over it all. If you want to lose weight and maybe retain muscle or tone up you certainly would want to track your macros with a heavier emphasis on your proteins to carb ratio.

pain is temporary you should ALWAYS push through pain. If you are injured that is something different. Your body will adjust eventually produce enough endorphin to block the pain. BEST OF LUCK dont quit push harder.

in my experience, i have cleaned bulked and dirty bulked. while i was clean bulking, yes i did feel a lot better at the higher weight i achieved, but i didnt come back as strong as i did when i dirty bulked. <-- does that make sense? plus it always feels better to eat crappy tasteful food lol.

PB2 ~~ regular peanut butter tends to be a trigger food. Peanut butter is not the best source of protein and i tend to stay away from it for that reason.
