  • I struggle with seeing the difference in myself also. The profile picture I have now helped me see my progress :) Focus on the positive changes you have made and not on how '"far" you think you have to go :) Good Luck!!
  • Do it for yourself not for others reactions :) After I lost 30 pounds that's when people starting commenting on my weight loss :) Keep on going :)
  • All the Chili Cheese chips I ate last night :/ But, I forgive myself. Less carbs and more protein today :)
  • P.S.---I don't hold a PhD or anything, but I realized the human body is very complex and hormones play a big part in how your body feels :)
  • I had another symptom that had to do with Estrogen. As you exercise your estrogen levels start to drop since the fat holding the "toxins" go away and the Estrogen gets released from the cell. Get the picture? Its a female issue. Anyways, yes, fat cells hold many things. I have had the hungry thing, the sick thing and the…
  • I do, but that is why you might need a cheat meal and not a cheat day. I am not disciplined enough to watch what I eat without accountability. That's just me. I am trying to eat little bit of a treat every day as long as they fit into my macro count for the day. This strategy helps me not feel deprived. :) Good Luck!!
  • There is a thing called constructive criticism.
  • Is this FACEBOOK or MFP?? Geez, if I want drama I would post my diet question on Facebook and let my "friends" judge me. Everyone tries and fails. If she succeeds Kudos, if not, lesson learned. Calm down people. This is supposed to be a safe space to vent, ask questions, and just be yourself.
  • Sorry hun. Not enough protein. I see you like carbs like me, but you need more protein sources like greek yogurt, egg whites, broccoli, raw nuts etc.....replacing some of your carb intake with protein will really help your appetite :)
  • LOL! Totally me!! If I am not thinking of food I am looking at food on Pinterest :) Just goes to show you "appetite" is a mental thing :) I'll binge on Pinterest any day!
  • This happened to me to for 2 weeks I did not lose weight, but I lost inches. I almost gave up!! But, I consulted my MFP buddies and they said eat more Protein. I followed their advice and set 30% of my daily intake to protein and it worked!!! :) Keep on going and don't give up. Change up your diet a bit. Less Carbs/Sugar…
  • Don't eat less than 1200 calories in one day. If your at 1200 with eating exercise calories or not then your should be ok at least to sustain your body for that day.
  • Eat. No seriously. Ur not trying to trick your body in slowly eating itself. Food is fuel. Eat real, whole food. Eat your calories AND eat back your exercise calories. No seriously. Work out and eat healthy WHOLE food. I lost for a month on 1200 calories and then my body was not wanting to lose. I ate more and BAM my…
  • Eat more protein. I was not losing for a week and I was kind of upset. I started to eat more protein ( greek yogurt, chicken, meat, cheese) and I am losing weight again. Carbs turn to sugar which turns to fat. Eat more protein.
  • I make the mistake of weighing myself daily too. Last week my friend made me some Albondiga soup ( Mexican meatball soup) I ate about 4 cups, roughtly 1000-1200 calories and I gained 3 pounds for 3 days!! I was so upset and disappointed at myself :( But I persevered. I ate clean again and continued working out and I lost…
  • Im 5'5 and CW 194.4...Starting weight 206.8. You can friend me if you want :)
  • Dress in tighter fitting workout clothes, stand in front of a full length mirror and snap away. I take pictures once every two weeks to motivate myself :) Good luck!!
  • Your weight will fluctuate on a daily basis. I ate a big meal today and gained 3 pounds today :/ But, if you are eating more your body is also 'processing" more food in your system. Drink more water. Water will help you get rid of any sodium being retained in your system.
  • I had 1,000 calories of Mexican meat ball soup today. So worth it today. Don't know about tomorrow ;)

  • I think I might be like you . I am at a 97 for my blood glucose level so I REALLY need to watch my sugar intake. I am hoping that eating more helps, if not, I am sticking to 1200 calories ( including my exercise calories). I overdid it today, but I always do on the weekends :/ I eat cottage doubles for breakfast and I am…
  • Hi Cherrell.I am also on a budget and I always thought that buying healthy food would be more expensive for me to buy. I go to the 99 cent store and I buy most of my veggies there for the week. I go to the grocery store for meat and fruit and the rest of my groceries. I buy packets of meat and chicken and break them up in…
  • Wow. Funny thing is that I have been suspecting it was my protein intake that was affecting my "hunger pangs". I remember eating an Oikos Greek yogurt one morning ( 12 g of protein!) for breakfast and I did not feel like I was running on empty all morning. You guys are a wealth of knowledge. I will definitely be finding…
  • You look great!! Good job :)
  • I've been having the same thought. I try to eat protein in chicken, turkey, egg white, broccoli..etc, but I never seem to get enough! Its a little frustrating since I have been researching protein and it is vital in keeping you full and building muscle while you're losing fat. I am considering investing in protein powder,…
  • Add me I need fitness buddies too! Im 5'5 with about 40-50 pounds I want to lose :)
  • I'll make my food diary public so that it can be seen. :) Thanks for the input. I am following the recommended calorie intake by MFP, but I am sure I need to intake more of something. I'm pretty sure you'll see I need to find more protein sources. I have thought about buying protein powder, but was not sure which one to…
