I managed to get to my goal weight then put 10 lbs. back on. The extra weight flaps and jiggles when I try and do the exercises I used to do - it is so not comfortable. But, if I did it once, I can do it again!

I've done a no-bake one with almond milk, honey, oats, whey protein powder and peanut butter. It really depends on how much protein powder you use and what its protein content is.

Roasted edamame is a good source of protein, they have different flavors you can choose from.

Recipes depend on what you like... there are TONS of recipes to choose from. I just recently found and tried a quinoa enchilada recipe that I tweaked to add chicken with NO onions. It was absolutely delicious and still healthy!! Quinoa Enchilada Casserole Prep Time 10 minutes Cook Time 30 minutes Total Time 40 minutes…

5'4" SW 168 CW 127 GW 122 I had made it down to 119 at one point and my size 2's were falling down. I'm now lifting weights, so I figure 122 with a lower body fat % will make me happier!

Eating at such a low intake, no wonder you felt horrible and are not motivated. If you want to be healthy you have to eat healthy, and that means eating enough to fuel your body. You should start at a 20% deficit of your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) if you are at obese and a smaller deficit as you get closer to…

Awesome work! Keep it up!

Lately it's been a fried whole egg with gouda on wheat, but I just got my blood work back and my ldl cholesterol was 105 (supposed to be <100). So I'm cutting back on the eggs for a while. May do egg whites only eventually.

I've been fluctuating between 6-9 lbs. left for 2 months. It's extremely hard and Scooby says I'll need until mid-March to reach my goal!

I still have my vhs tapes! Loved it and went to classes as well when it was trending.

Another in her 40s - been doing 5x5 for about 3 months and make some progress!

As far as walking vs running, why don't you try intervals: walk x miles/minutes then run y miles/minutes. It's the best of both worlds! As far was weight training it depends on your goals. If your looking to build muscle (lift heavy) the gym is more beneficial as it will have more weights to use. If your just looking to…

I'll log, but I'm not going to be neurotic about it. Scooby had some pointers about drinking a couple cups of water before hand, plan on having two plates: the first mostly veggies and lean meats with a small sample of other dishes. The second, wait a little bit after the first, talk with family and what not so you don't…

I drink a 16 oz bottle before I leave the house for work. I keep a 32 oz bottle at my desk that I finish before lunch. I refill it and drink it again during my workout at lunch. I refill it again and sip after lunch before I leave work. I usually have 11-13 cups of water before I leave work. On the days I strength train in…

I told my boyfriend if we were going to continue to eat that way we also had to workout together. (We had both gotten soft in the middle) It has made us become more aware of what we are cooking/eating and also gives us more of a variety of what we do together now. ETA: I liked Floridanudist's suggestion as well!!

Looks good for menu, water and exercise. I would suggest looking into other lunch options early before you start burning out on the same thing everyday.

This... If I start my next set too soon, I hit failure before I can finish. SL 5x5 suggests 90 secs if it was easy and 3 mins if it was not. It's a good rule of thumb. I get bored just sitting there between sets so I'll either do some ab or glut work or some stretching. As someone else mentioned, heavy weight with low reps…

So totally agree...very disappointing!

That's how I felt about Ghostbusters.

I agree with Blair Witch and add Arlington Road.

I do Ice Cream Fitness M/W/F evenings and cardio at lunch M-F with only a morning run with my dog on weekends. ICF is SL 5x5 plus some additional Iso movements. It takes me 40-55 minutes to complete the routines depending on how long I need to rest between each set. I'm not sure what you mean by too structured as it seems…

Try the book "Body for Life". It's pretty structured and you might have to modify the workouts if you don't have access to equipment. Another thing I did was got a binder and started added recipes to it that I found interesting, healthy and easy to make. Get a tab and divide another section for groceries and from the…

http://neilarey.com/workouts.html This is great site full of workout options.

Maybe try some Tae Bo or kickboxing. Also, jump rope or jumping jacks. You can also look into lifting weights, I'm sure there is some kind of alternate to squats.
-
Weekends I rest. I do cardio workouts M-F and weight training MWF. So all I do on the weekend is the run with the dog 1.5 miles.

http://neilarey.com/workouts.html This is a great site for getting some workout routines. There is even one in there for doing during commercial breaks while watching TV. I think you could modify a few to do with your little one as a game. As you begin to exercise more you will have more energy and therefore will become…

I'd pre-weigh and cook some chicken and pack it in serving sizes rather than prepackaged lunch meat (less sodium and preservatives) plus you can season it any way you like. Take a bag of small tortillas and protein bars. Apples and oranges are great because they don't need to be refrigerated. Canned tuna or the snack bags…
