Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it! I checked out some of the videos on daily motion and will probably be incorporating some of the circuits into my class :) I do love her workouts!

I actually just starting teaching a Bodyshred class at my gym and was curious as to how it compares with the bodyshred DVD's (never done them). The class follows the same 3-2-1 format with 4 circuits a 3 min warm up and a 3 minute cool down for a total of 30 minutes. When I went through my instructor training they…

I just went to the podiatrist the other day for this very same issue. Long story short, the PF isn't going to go away if I continue to do the same type of activities I'm doing now (I teach a high impact dance fitness class). Well I like to eat and I like to work out so being sedentary is not an option for me. So I am going…

bumping for later! I have been lax about using my kettlebell lately so hopefully this will get me reinspired!

Totally caught my attention as well since I am having the same problem! This is a great idea. I will be going through my gently used bras when I get a chance and hopefully sending some their way!

oops here is that progress pic from November I am at 155 lbs approximately

Love all the pics and you ladies look amazing! Posts like this along with the wonderful MFP community is a HUGE part of the reason I was able to meet and exceed my weight loss and fitness goals. On that note, I will post my before and after pics as well and who knows, maybe they will inspire and encourage some of you all!…

Lucky! I am about 5 hours from Whistler but the exchange rates are killing me right now and haven't been up for a couple years. I used to go annually though, love it up there. I will have to stick to my local mountains for now, which to be honest are still pretty fun! :)

Thanks for the info! I definitely need to work out my legs more before I head up. The snow is back so hopefully ill get up there soon!

I started MFP in September 2012 to lose the last of my pregnancy weight and primarily did Zumba for my cardio. I did some other classes and machines as well but I would say 85-90% of my cardio was Zumba because I love it so much! I wasnt doing any type of strength training either. You can definitely lose weight with it,…

amazing job! you look great!

this lol! I know i need to do more strength training (and its not because i'm uncomfortable with it) but the zumba classes are always calling me. I've been doing some kettlebells to get some strength training in but i have to put on the music they use in my zumba classes to really enjoy it :)

If you can get a heart rate monitor that is the best way to log zumba workouts. I think you can get one for as as little as $30. I take Zumba classes 4-6 times a weeks and average about 450 calories per class. But because each class and instructor is different and my energy level varies I've burned as little as 350 up to…

I am a mommy to a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 months old (still doesnt STTN) so I feel your pain when it comes to the lack of sleep and finding time to work out. I also work 3-4 days weeks with an hour + long commute each way so that makes it challenging as well. I am not amorning person so the 3-6 am things was pretty much out…

If you enjoy working out then I say you are not wasting your time. Everyone is different so I like to use all healthcare and nutrition guidelines as just that, guidelines not rules that are set in stone. Everyone is different so something that works for one person may not be the best thing for another. I do what I enjoy…

you can also try bean-zyme. its half the price of beano (I think you can order a 5-pack on amazon and save even more) and no nasty tablets to chew. I love to load up on healthy veggies and beans for protein but a lot of them have the above mentioned side effects. It works like a charm!

thank you, this was very informative! Can't wait to hear more responses. In the meantime, off to scan my post stent/atherectomy patient. The one good thing about people living unhealthy lifestyles which can then lead to vascular disease is that I have excellent job security! :) I kid!

Again, thanks so much for the comments everyone, they are seriously making me want to cry, so nice! As for breastfeeding, I am still breastfeeding but only part-time (maybe 3 times a day). My little one is mostly on formula. When I started MFP I only deduction about 100 calories a day for breastfeeding. I didnt want to…

yup I seem to have the same problem, they are dropping like flies. Im gonna add you all if thats cool!

Thanks for all the comments, you guys are so nice. And you can definitely do it! Its not always easy and I had to really make a point to find time for my workouts no matter what. Not easy with little ones combined with a lack of sleep (which I am sure you are all to familiar with). So sometimes that meant I was working out…

Thanks so much! I lost the weight by doing a lot (and I mean a lot!) of Zumba. I was pretty much working out 7 days a week in order to stay within my calorie budget. Thankfully, Zumba is so much fun that it never really felt like a workout. I actually have to make myself not go on some days now (especially since I am…

Great idea! I think I will do the same. And you will burn a minimum of 1000 calories if not more with the 1/2 so its totally justifiable!. To ease my guilty conscience I will be attending a 1 hour boot camp class and a 1 hour Zumba class (the Zumba is more for fun with the added bonus of burning calories), Then its turkey…

I know most people have already answered your question and I concur with them all, Zumba is so much fun! I do a variety of workouts including Zumba, RIPPED, spinning and just started the turbo fire dvds. I would say if you are comparing the two and going all out on both the turbo fire (especially the HIIT workouts) and…
