Black coffee is fine for you. It actually provides a decent amount of anti-oxidants. Just make sure you don't drink too much/too late if you're sensitive to caffeine. Also make sure to account for any cream or sugars you add because they can up your daily calories in a hurry.

I weigh in every two weeks. We all know that weight is too volatile to actually reflect fat loss if you weigh in too often. Personally, I think females should look at their weight in 1 month intervals because of their menstrual cycle effects it. If you feel the need to weigh in weekly you should really compare week 1 of a…

Oh wow, look at you stating opinion as if it were fact. Objective. What does it mean?

I couldn't of cared less about her until the VMAs. Now I think she's awesome. These slut shaming dummies should all pass away of fat brain disease.

It's pretentious. Under some circumstances it can make women hotter, but it also makes men into women.

Not a chance.. the majority of women don't know nearly as much about style and dressing men as they think they do. I dress myself and I look good doing it. If my girlfriend wants to be sexy or topless for that matter I don't care.

How do people end up/stay in relationships like this?

lol.. People who go to the gym to look and feel better should never question what someone else at the gym is doing that may them look or feel better.. Hypocrisy much.

That happens to the best of us. I've been there, sleepless nights, waking up soaked in sweat with my heart beating out of my chest, spending days in the house unable to think about anything else. I've diagnosed myself with everything from prostate cancer to lyme disease. I know what it's like to be completely preoccupied…

I have at times in the past, what's your issue?

Foods can easily be bad or unhealthy considering they're both subjective terms. If you don't want to restrict foods then that's fine but It also helps many people stay in a good routine to keep certain trigger foods out of their day to day lives. For the purposes of weight loss a calorie is generally just a calorie and…

It's very close, and for all intents and purposes it's safe to assume that it is. Also, knee travel is going to occur in a squat and as long you minimize it as much as possible you'll be fine. Also OP was squatting without weight on his back which changes the dynamics. I can barely maintain good form with an empty bar and…

Hard to eat a surplus? What the problem is? You should do some light cardio and conditioning just to maintain general health but it shouldn't impact whether or not you gain fat. If you have to do cardio to minimize fat gain then you're eating too many calories and you simply need to eat a little less.

Here's a good video of Dr. Layne Norton talking about the subject and how starvation mode can cause you to gain back more weight and make losing the regained weight harder than the initial loss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hw3kfRkqVWU&list=TLsuRw11lGCQeh90YVDE0EU3wErs9uEFxa

A protein powder is a great addition to the diet of anyone looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or just be more physically fit. On a $ per gram of protein basis it's extremely cheap and its one of the best ways to add protein without adding the other macros which will help you control them a little better. When you're…

Squats. Greatest test of strength.

Bodyweight ratios are silly because the strength to weight ratio isn't linear. The previous poster before me is right that strength is gained by increasing neuro-muscular efficiency, and increasing the amount of muscle increases the potential for strength. I don't agree with using 5/3/1. It is good for deadlifts but in…

Bare minimum 6 months but I'd aim for a year. Muscle goes in much slower than fat goes on or off. If you want to add serious LBM you need to be dedicated for a serious amount of time.

Yeah, 23lbs down by Christmas would have me on the fast train to play sexy santa.

It was intentional for me. I was always athletic and in great shape and then I started to train and compete in Powerlifting where it was a scenario where the bigger I got the better I go. Now I just want to go back to being athletic and looking good. Ive been in a gym 5-6 days a week for my entire life, I've never been…

Most likely switching for a 5x5 to a bodybuilding inspired split means that even though your frequency decreased your volume as increased greatly. Meaning instead of just doing your compound movement, you're doing a handful of exercises for your leg muscles and they need to adapt to that work capacity. If you're sore add…

Muscle soreness, or DOMS, is not an indicator of how hard you work at the gym. I've trained and competed in powerlifting and strongman, lifting very heavy (relative intensity) 4-6 days a week for years and I rarely feel sore unless I take a break and then it occurs for a week or two. Your work and recovery capacity will…
