Thank you for the explanation! I was wondering why the time that I started exercising was on there. Good to know!

bump so I can come back to it later!

No, I hurt my ankle first and now I've developed plantar fasciitis. Trying to be a "good patient" and do what I need to do with stretching and wearing a splint at night so I don't have to pay $500 for custom orthotics!

When I started, I walked a mile every day and drank 100 oz of water every day. Just increased my exercise from there. Didn't even start out counting calories at first.

I know it's super easy to get caught up in the scale. I'm the QUEEN of getting caught up in the scale, especially since I haven't lost weight in over 4 months. But maybe this will help: two pictures, taken 4 months apart last year: Looks like quite a big difference, right? It's only a difference of 3.6 pounds. So keep up…

Great job! You look wonderful!

You look amazing! Definitely needed this reminder. Thanks for posting!

That's not true for everyone. My activity level is moderate and I almost always eat back my exercise calories. It's worked for me.

Drank coffee throughout my weight loss. At least 2 cups a day with flavored creamer and sweet n low or splenda.

Amazing job! Congrats!

Shoot. Didn't think about the possibility of getting separated from my shoes and I just ordered the shoe one 2 days ago! Oh well, better than nothing!
-
I've done the Warrior Dash, Electric Run and Graffiti Run. All were really fun!

Great article! Bumping so I can read again and again!

I wasn't a big fan of it but then Light and Fit started making their Greek yogurt. LOVE the cherry. Have usually twice a day!

Took me a little over 2 years, but most of it (80 pounds) was in 15 months. The first year I had a big setback but then I got consistent. Before: After: I got to 100 pounds lost in September 2012, and I've been hovering around there ever since. I still have another 20-30 to lose so it's been a little frustrating to be…

One of my friends once told me she loved reading my diary because I got the most food out of my calories. And usually I do..I try to stick to low calorie stuff so I can eat more. I think your diary looks fine. And FYI, there's a recipe builder on here. Not sure if you knew that, but I use it ALL the time for my meals. It's…

My first 5K was a year ago this weekend. I ran it in 38:43 which I was very happy with. My current fastest time is 31:30. Now I'm working my way up...same event but longer distance this weekend. Running my first 10K Saturday! Hoping to finish in under 70 minutes.

I keep my old ID badge as a reminder of where I've been. Some patients do comment on that.

I think you've gotten some good advice. I would also say to eat more. And 13 pounds in 30 days is AMAZING! Give yourself some credit!

I used C25K too and it was great for me. I jogged my first 5K last February and have done 9 more since then, including Warrior Dash and The Electric Run. I'm doing the Graffiti Run (like the Color Run) Feb. 2, and then I'm doing my first 10K Feb 23 and my second 10K March 23. My goal is to work up to a half by next…

Congrats! I still have about 10 to lose to just be overweight, but that's a big milestone!

You look great! Congrats!

WLS is not for me. I couldn't do it. But I think people who have had surgery have it TOUGHER, in my opinion. They have more dietary restrictions than I ever did. Losing weight for me was difficult enough for me without a severely restricted diet. Wouldn't have worked for me, so more power to those it has helped.

Amen to all this! Great post!

1) Lost 32 pounds and 5% body fat 2) Was able to stop taking medication for high blood pressure 3) Ran my first 5K in February, and then ran 7 more throughout the year 4) Ran the Warrior Dash, didn't stop once and completed ALL the obstacles! 5) Had blood work done in March and my cholesterol was under 200 for the first…

Wow! Truly, truly amazing! Unbelievable job!

Sorry about the super big pics. Still haven't figured out how to make them smaller!

I'm Kate, and I've lost just over 100 pounds in the last 2.5 years by counting calories and working out. Still about 25 pounds to go until my goal. Lately I've been struggling so I'm excited to be part of a new group!
