  • Hello future friend ;) I myself have really been struggling as well so I know how disappointing it can be! I have tried the 17 day diet as mentioned by someone else and it did work-6 pounds in first 7 days unfortunately for me I was never able to make it the whole 17 days before I started cheating so I use it to trim down…
  • Hello! I'm 32 and weigh 204 pounds. I have been logging in daily since January 1. I try to encourage at least a few friends everyday and post everyday to keep myself accountable. Feel free to add me to your support team :)
  • You will get there and I will be here to cheer you on! :)
  • I'm glad I came to the community! I'm snowed in for third day with my husband (the ever grazing snack monster) and my three year old son. Yesterday I thought it would be nice to bake cookies with my son (my mom always did that on snow days). So last night I ate cookies. And this morning I ate cookies. And all I can think…
  • Many of us have been there. I hit puberty at a young age. My mother who was quite young and always very thin couldn't understand why her young daughter had large hips, thighs, and very large breasts. She classified me as fat. My brother teased me constantly. I was very ashamed of my appearance for most of my life. I was…
  • Are amazing ;)
  • Hi guys! I know we are halfway through March but I just found this and would love to join in. I was actually planning on adding in more walks now that the weather is getting more cooperative! My goal for today is 5,000 steps
  • I've never used you tube myself but I do exercise at home a lot. I love jumping rope, jumping on a trampoline, dancing to my favorite playlist with my toddler. I also have DVD's my current fav is Shaun T' s ROCKING BODY. I hope this helps
  • I have lost and regained the same 50 pounds every year for the last 3 years! I also am looking for lots of support and encouragement! I have done well for the last few weeks but felt that I needed some encouragement today so I came to the community for some motivation and inspiration. Let's get back on track together! I'm…
  • My hubby's not supportive either! First of all, he's never needed to lose weight. Secondly, I've fluctuated much of my adult life and was bigger on my wedding day than I am now so he insists( and I do believe) that I'm beautiful to him no matter what I weigh. Having said that I don't like the way I look and I know that I…
  • I've been a member for 60 days. At my heaviest I weighed 218. A few years ago I joined weight watchers with a friend and got down to 171, which was pretty much the smallest I'd ever been as an adult. I felt amazing! Started signing up for 5k's and long distance charity bike rides. I came a long way from the girl who always…
  • Hi, I'm Sarah. I'm from Indiana. I am 31 years old and have spent much of my life dreaming of the day I would reach my dream weight. I was always on the thicker side as a teen. After I got married my husband and I celebrated EVERYTHING with food and I quickly gained weight. At my heaviest I was 218 and a size 20. About…
  • I'm due to recommit! I was doing amazing working out 6 days a week sticking to my calorie goals, then I got sick! It was bad enough that I took that week off (which was justified since I was sick) but that was 3 weeks ago and I've been in a total slump since then! Let's motivate each other to get back on track this…
  • Not sure about heart rate. It's basically a pedometer. What's cool about it is it can sync with your phone or laptop wirelessly and of course there is a way to connect it with mfp! I've used pedometers before but always end up breaking them... Hopefully this one is sturdier! It should work fine on treadmill.
  • Thanks for the input everyone! I'm going to buy the zip model. Now to decide lime green or hot pink?! Decisions, decisions.
  • Some one I know bought the program and didn't end up using it so she gave it to me. The diet is pretty restrictive but I have done the workouts and liked them pretty well. I definatly sweat when I do them :)
  • I've been a member for a few months now and I LOVE it! I'm kind of addicted, I love the support I get from my friends on mfp. My husband is very loving but he also loves junk food and is a total enabler do I need all the help I can get! I'm hoping to take off about 30 more pounds ideally before feb. 8 when I go on…
  • I've been in a bit of a slump and your starting fresh caught my eye. That's totally what I need to do. I would love to get off another 30 pounds and am always looking for like minded friends to cheer on. Maybe we can start fresh together :-) feel free to add me to your friend list.
  • I LOVE sweating to the oldies! It is a crazy good time ! I'm in
  • I didnt notice much change until closer to 20 pounds and no one really commented that it looked like I'd lost weight until closer to 35 pounds! It is disappointing but keep it up and big changes will come! I'm sending you a friend request :)
  • I'm in! Was down to 181 but after a few weeks of slacking up to 191! Jeez that happened fast! So hard to lose so easy to gain lol! Goal is 171!!!
  • Dont know if I would say I'm addicted to food but I am so totally an emotional eater. Anything can trigger stress eating for me. There have been times that I would go through a drive thru on my way home for a "treat". I would then hide the evidence and go home to eat dinner as usual with my husband! I know this is not…
  • Great idea! I'm interested in doing this. Starting weight 218 Current weight 186 Goal weight 165. I will add my measurements later today. When do we start?
  • I am new also, it's been about a week. I had a goal this year to lose 50 pounds. I actually made it to 40 lost but without support I lost my motivation and gained back 10! So I joined and I love it! There's always support if you need it, and most of us on a long weight loss journey need lots of support. I'm looking for…
  • We have all been there! I made cookies this past weekend for my husband for our anniversary... I have next to no will power and ate more cookies than any one person should ever eat! I let it get me off track for several days because I am an all or nothing kind of person and an emotional eater. I posted today that I needed…
  • I always wear my workout clothes to bed and have my socks, shoes and phone in the bathroom. Clock goes off, then phone goes off in bathroom... I'm up. I always go to bed by 9:30 so I can get up by 5 to workout. Good luck
  • One of my friends and I participated in our works biggest loser contest in January. She and I both followed the same diet and exercised together. She lost 43 pounds and I lost 35 during the contest. So many people gushed about how great she looked... Very few people complimented me. It was horrible and very depressing! I…
  • One of the great joys of life us treating yourself now and then. Go to dinner skip the bread or appetizer and drink unsweetened tea or water. The biggest trick to treating yourself is not letting it get you off track. It's one meal... It doesn't have to be all or nothing! And enjoy yourself :)
  • I usually have one a day after my workout or for meal replacement. I like to do 1 cup of almond milk, 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder, and a cup of blueberries. Sometimes if I really want a treat I'll do 1/2 cup blueberries and a banana. They are fantastic!
