Bananas are only about 100 calories of good carbs, help satisfy that sweet tooth, and satisfy hunger with good fiber. The potassium content is also good for replacing those lost electrolytes during workouts. Fructose (fruit sugar) is not a bad thing. It just adds up to a lot of calories with some fruits if you don't keep…

Snake oil also cures depression. Don't believe everything you hear or read. All the preservatives, chemicals, and GMOs contained in mass produced food are doing more damage than grains or gluten. Depression is an illness to be treated by professionals. Don't rely on snake oil salesman to cure what ails you.

Do what makes YOU happy! After all, it's a small investment compared to what some guys spend on big trucks and fast cars to make themselves feel better about small parts of their anatomy.

If you are really trying to lose weight, lose the rice. It is super high calorie dense. A very small amount of rice adds up to 300 calories easy, and if you are eating rice to "fill you up," then you are consuming a huge amount of calories. Good "filler" foods are broccoli, kale, cabbage, and lettuce. You can fill up on…

When you are sick, stay at home. Be thoughtful of others. You may inadvertently expose countless other people in the gym to whatever it is that you have. I personally hate it when people come to work sick and expose me to their illness, and I certainly don't appreciate it when people are sick and come to my gym. Missing a…

I'm sure there are plenty of people on myfitnesspal that would gladly take it from you, eat it on their "cheat days/cheat meals," and then post pleas for help later on that they just can't understand why they aren't losing weight.

Well, there's your answers..."BREAD - often accompanied by all sorts of cheeses," and yoga. Two things make people fat: 1. Eating too much. 2. Not exercising enough. You have included examples of each in your post. Throw out your bread and cheese, and never eat anymore. Do something more vigorous than yoga for exercise.…

It's probably just fluid retention/water weight. Maybe you aren't hydrating enough pre and post workout. You need to replace what you sweat out and then some. Water is life!

You get fat by eating too much. "Cheat days" and "cheat meal" are poor excuses and weak justification for eating too much. "Being too busy" is yet another weak excuse for eating too much. Blaming your lack of will power on family food choices...yup...another excuse for eating too much. When you are ready to commit to the…

When I was recovering from multiple lower extremity injuries/surgeries in the Army, I would get my heart rate up by doing upper body machines with low weight, high reps, and rapid transitions between machines. I also used the punching bag. It's a great stress reliever too! The "arm bicycle" works, but I just didn't like it…
