Why the heck would you want to go vegan if you love meat? That's just crazy. I think veganism is extremely unhealthy for the majority of people because they don't do it properly and make sure they're getting enough vitamins and minerals from their food. Protein is not so much of a problem. My boyfriends is vegan and I am…

Phonypony. Phony comes from my last name = Fones and Pony just because I love ponies. Also there is a song called Phony Pony.

That seems like a lot of meat to me if you are eating that everyday. Also, is it enough calories? Seems like you are a not having enough carbs which is going to be super hard to stick to because your body needs them for energy. I would replace your breakfast with some untoasted muesli with trim milk because it's super high…

I have been vegetarian for years and years. You learn good things to eat over time. Usually I just have cheese and salad sandwiches, fruit, leftover dinners, unsalted nuts/seeds, low fat yogurt, carrot sticks, hummus, salad and things like that for lunch. River cottage has some amazing vege recipes.…

Increase your fiber intake and drink more water to help your bowels! Otherwise your liver and kidneys will be doing a great job unless they're impaired for some reason. :)

I used to feel like this all the time when I was depressed. I'd sit in a dark room all day feeling sorry for myself. You're an amazing person, I'm sure. Being proactive about my life was the best thing I did for myself. Do what makes you happy. Go outside and walk and get fresh air. Don't listen to your mother! She's being…

I've had major depression since I was about 12 and now I am 21. Last year my 13 year old cousin committed suicide during my university exams and my flat (full of my friends) was falling apart. I really fell off the wagon and had to get serious mental health support (both medical and also counselling). I didn't eat, I…

Depression, comfort/boredom eating, lack of nutritional education, and large portion sizes. I was never a lazy teen and exercised a lot but just never got the balance of eating the right amount for my size.

You can't spot reduce fat you just have to reduce your overall body fat %.

Polys are the best (e.g. canola and LCPUFAS such as n-3 and n-6), Monos are also good e.g. Olive oil and you should try to have a higher proportion of PUFAs and MUFAs in your diet than SFAs. SFAs are the worst because they increase your risk of cardiovascular disease and increase your triglycerides and stuff. However, you…

I use it as a sub for bulghur wheat in tabouleh and have that in wholemeal pita pockets with salad and felafel. I use it as a sub for rice. Put in it soups and stews. Add it to homemade vegie patties. It's pretty versatile!!

The thing that annoys me is that some smokers think they can just chuck their butts on the ground!! Yuck!!

I wouldn't stress about it honestly. It's never going to be accurate but it's all good estimation. The HR monitor is probably more accurate than MFP because it's based on your individual weight and heart beat. Calorie counting is not accurate in itself either so you can't get obsessive about the numbers just think of them…

Totally understand what you mean! I go by the morning weight because it's the easiest to compare to all other 'morning' weights because it's before I have eaten and after I have peed in the morning. Does that make sense?
