  • Hi! I am 5'2" and weigh 136 and I wear a size 6.
  • I wish myfitnesspal had a LIKE button!! I am short as well and have about 17 pounds to go. I am an 8 right now and 17 pounds will get me back into a 2-4. Just 5 pounds makes a big difference on a short person. 15 is a huge difference. I WILL LOSE IT!! Thanks for posting this. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie…
  • WOW! GREAT job! You look great! Don't be so hard on yourself. If you put in the work, you'll get to where you WANT to be. Until then, just keep up the good work and if WE can see the difference in those pictures--YOU should see the difference in them too! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods

  • You have to make sure you set your HRM to the correct resting heart rate for you. So if my resting heart rate is 70 and my max is 160, My 'zone' for burning calories is between 100 to 160. Make sure if your resting is 111 and your max is 200, you are programming that into your HRM so your calorie count will be more…
  • I love everything about Trader Joe's!!! So much I got a job there. Thank goodness I work there and get a discount because it is basically like 'Will Work for Food!' Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
  • I have seen the documentary and found it EXTREMELY interesting but I couldn't actually go completely vegan. Currently I am nursing my baby and she had lactose/dairy allergies and I can't have any dairy and I have had to modify my diet for that reason. I could go vegetarian I think but my husband cannot live without meat.…
  • I ALWAYS eat my exercise calories. Some times I don't eat all of them but the majority of the time I do. Your body needs fuel to burn fat and energy. I am steadily losing 1 to 3 pounds a week and that is ok with me. I know it took a long time to put the weight on, I don't expect it to come off quickly. MFP puts a warning…
  • I have a polar and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It is a great brand with a wonderful informative website. You can link your calories burned to the web for tracking. You can buy them for $100 or less on AMAZON.COM. Cheaper than the stores sometimes....
  • Yeppers! I am a REAList also. REAL sugar (raw sugar), real butter--REAL eggs (non of that egg fakers stuff) ! I am a naturalist also. I don't do a lot of 'light' stuff. I just look for healthy food to eat.
  • AGREE! Just watch where it comes from. I go over on sugars regularly but it is because I love grapes, apples, and berries. As long as your sugar isn't coming from candy bars and lollipops you should be fine. Staying within your calories is the most important thing. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools

  • I read an article on Fox News.com that the best way to reduce stomach fat is cardio like running or aerobics. It was proven even better than sit ups or strength training, like weights or yoga. But it is usually the last thing to go as you reach your goal weight. Good luck! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
  • Me too!! I have to have a straw! Even my water bottle has a straw. I also add Mio to it. It is a calorie free liquid sweetener that you squeeze into water. Just a taste is all I need.
  • I started back on MFP about 3 weeks ago and I am currently under what my "if every day were like today......" said that I had 3 weeks ago. I think it depends on where you are at in your weight loss journey. If you are just starting you may meet it or surpass it. If you are in maintenance mode it may not be as accurate.
  • Sounds Great! I will definitely try these.:flowerforyou:
  • Unfortunately, the only way you can find out EXACTLY how many calories you burn is with a heart rate monitor but here is a website where you can put in your exercise and your weight and it will give you an approximate calorie loss. Good luck! http://www.caloriecontrol.org/healthy-weight-tool-kit/lighten-up-and-get-moving
  • I used a square glass pyrex. I guess 8x8??
  • Yes! Any brand of 15 oz can will do! Enjoy!
  • Good Morning I have a Polar F6 and I love love love it!!! Although I have not been able to ever link it to the internet, I don't really need to use that feature because it has a diary in it and then I transfer that info to MFP. I think I have not linked it because my microphone is ancient and I just do not feel the need to…
  • go to sparkpeople.com they have a reciple calculator.....if you sign in you can add foods to it...it sometimes doesn't have all foods but it is great!!!
  • Hi and WELCOME!! When I was exclusively nursing and my baby was not eating very much solid foods, I would add 500 calories to my daily routine as an exercise I labeled 'breastfeeding'. Since when you add exercises to your 'my exercises' it asks you how long you do this particular exercise, as he got older and older I would…

  • This is EXACTLY how I feel about MFP! When I first started, I would just eat whatever-log my calories-and would be STARVING. But I have now forced myself to choose better foods that I can have MORE of and stretch my calories. Watching your calories DEFINITELY can definitely teach you to make smarter decisions about what…
  • You might want to do some research online about that product. Jillian was recently sued by a couple of women claiming that they did not lose weight on pills that she endorsed. I am not sure if that is exactly the product or not. I DO know that Jillian's 30 day shred video will kick your a**!!!!! I just did the first 2…
  • my DVD should arrive tomorrow from Amazon!!! Can't wait! I work out about 5 days a week and run either 3-5 miles 3 days a week or run on my elliptical for 30 min to 1 hour and do strength training on my Bowflex BUT I am anticipating a HARD workout by the way everyone talks about this video...I am SCARED! Good luck…

  • Hi THuffers! I have been exclusively breastfeeding since before I joined this site. I knew that you were supposed to eat 300-500 more calories while breastfeeding so I added about 400 up until 2 weeks ago when my son turned 1. I have slowly been going down on my calories for breastfeeding, which I add as a daily exercise.…
  • I noticed that you not only go to starbucks just about everyday but you also eat a lot of icecream and candy. Even if icecream says there is no sugar added, there is still sugar in it. I would lay off of the icecream, chocolate candies, and starbucks and only reward yourself with those treats once a week or when you lose a…
