Wow, thanks for your message Jon, just what I was looking for. Can I ask what the other water friendly tracker is so I can compare reviews on that one (although I *am* a Fitbit fan).

Zoodles. I really WANTED to like them. I managed to choke them down but I won't be rushing to make them again.

Mmmmm, sounds yummy!

I don't eat my breakfast right away - I start work at 7 and get hungry around 9 so I need something something convenient I can have at my desk. Most mornings, I drink a peppermint tea or two when I get to work, then around 9am, I have a half-serving (1-scoop) of Mocha flavoured SlimStyles shakes (115 calories) and another…

So 456 calories for the whole shebang? Hmmm..... :blushing:

I do the same. I eat very small breakfast & lunch "meals" and walk at lunch so by the time I get home for supper, I have well over 1000 calories still to eat. If I do another workout, I have EVER MORE calories left. That allows me a substantial enough dinner that I don't feel like snacking all evening but leaves me room…

Sonova.... this is EXACTLY what had happened to me and I lost my streak - I KNEW I'd logged in but hadn't tracked that day so I had no way to prove it. Second guessed myself but now that I read this, I know it's exactly what happened. Crap!

I'm a Ninja girl too. Affordable (and lifetime guarantee if you buy it at Bed, Bath & Beyond - I assume the US guarantee is the same as Canada?). I compared reviews of a kazillion blenders before I settled on the Ninja. Crushes ice like nothing. BLADES ARE SHARP (most reviews reference cuts but I'm super clumsy and haven't…

Wow, what a fun site - thanks for sharing. OP - I loved my pixie cut - had it for YEARS and I'd still have it but my other half likes long hair on a woman and since I had never grown my hair before, I figured what the heck - I'll give it a go! Just do it, it's only hair and (barring medical conditions), it'll grow back.

Oh, no, there are a PILE of ugly people out there, I've seen them first hand. I think what you actually meant is "People often say there is no such thing as a stupid question." Although that's not true either because I've asked plenty myself.

OMG, Cindyj7, is that a piece of bacon in a Bloody Caesar? OMG, I didn't think Caesars could get any better but BACON?!?! (sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread - but bacon!)

Just going to start my Nerd Fitness Beginners Body Weight workout tonight. I've done it before but not for any length of time. How are you making out? How do you track it?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my EatSmart scales - ordered off of Amazon. I bought a pricier one because I wanted more bells & whistles but bought my mom the cheap one and she loves it.

I got invited to go to a Christmas party for a company that I'd worked for for 10 years by an ex-coworker who's wife suggested he ask me to go since she hated going. I had left the company 11 months previously and was excited to see everyone again. I was all dolled up and felt great, saw this person and that and was doing…

Not that I put a lot of stock in the whole BMI thing but 120 at your height is underweight and therefore hard on the ol' organs. Take care of them and they'll take care of you. (Also, your current weight and height fall into a "normal" BMI range). Stop focusing on the numbers - and the food - maybe try lifting to get the…

I have the Polar FT60 and I get the SAME DAMN THING! Annoying is an understatement! (I still love it though)

I love this!!! What an awesome feeling this must have been! Congrats. If you've got it, flaunt it!

Here's a call I took (I've removed the 'ums' and awkward pauses for your benefit): "I was on my way to work this morning and I was waiting for the bus, and there was this cat... and I went to pet it and it wasn't a cat, it was a skunk and it sprayed me and now I can't go to work."

I think we all do! :flowerforyou:

Ask your mom.

Congratulations! That's awesome!

I think 5 pounds in 4 weeks is a great start personally but keep in mind, being a woman, our body has natural cycles. I've discovered this since logging regularly on MFP, I'll be up a week due to ovulation, down the next week, up again for TOM, down again the following week. It all evens out, don't sweat it. At first, it…

You're not alone. Although my mom is fantastic and I'm very close to her, my stepmother is very critical and has been since I was a kid. One of my personal favs: TWO days after my father died, she gave me a lecture on not wearing enough make up "You'd look so much prettier if...." and told me that my father always thought…

I agree with this opinion 100%. If I was going for a quarter of a million bucks, I'd get down to 105 lbs. too. Fortunately I'm not. I personally hope that she takes her quarter million and buys herself a couple of cheeseburgs, a poutine and a beer or two to wash them down and maybe the next time we see her, she'll look a…

Don't feel too bad - at least you didn't eat the thong (they make those too). :ohwell:
-
Don't get your head stuck around a particular number - just keep focused on the end date and use that as motivation to get where you need to be. Whenever you feel like eating over your daily allowance or don't feel like doing a workout - remember the May 31st goal. If you feel it won't happen, it won't happen. THINK IT…

I add my vitamins - all 80 calories of them - boohoo!

Great advice!
