I weigh all my food on a digital scale and get accurate calorie counts (you can peek at my diary, I dont eat out, I make all my own food) and have a Polar ft4 HRM which tells me how much Im burning per workouts. My BMR is 1490 and my TDEE is 2400 so eating 1900-2000 like I have been would put me at a 500 calorie deficit.

yes I use a Polar Ft4, and my workouts last at least 60 minutes. I do plyometrics between strength training sets to keep my heart rate up and do cardio warmup and cardio after.

thanks all, so I should be netting at/a little above BMR with exercise? Gonna up my TDEE to very active and recalculate accordingly

Wow! How long did it take you to go from 14 to size 2? We have the same stats so I'm so curious! and what was your intake like while losing?

how much would you recommend I drop my carbs by? The night wakings werent happening when I was lower carb (like around 100g/day) but I also wasnt exercising as much and as intensely.

just made my diary public =) I eat really well, I cant have gluten or dairy & I make all my own food. The only store bought things I eat are Larabars and protein powder. and I have been even drinking a protein shake right before bed and I will wake up a few hours later regardless. thanks everyone, yes I actually started with walking in july, built up to longer walks with some light weight training in august and am now walking for an hour and upped my weights -- but not close to where I was lifting before! I took the past 2 days off and ate about 2300 calories yesterday... and am down 1/2lb this…

unless I am underestimating my calories I dont see how this would be possible! My carbs are usually 100-150g/day.
