I would recommend buying a fitness tracker and setting yourself a daily step target which would increase until you are doing ten thousand a day. Try to walk outside in a nice, scenic area and enjoy the scenery. I like to listen to audiobooks whilst walking and, if you get one you enjoy, you will be keen to walk to listen…

Wonderful and inspiring - well done :)

Inspiring - well done and thank you!

Went out for a bike ride today and managed to get up a hill without stopping. The last time I rode it I stopped 2/3's of the way up for a breather. I guess having to lug twenty less pounds up made a difference :)

Super work Dean - I am humbled by your dedication to overcome the challenges life has thrown your way. I am interested in rucking after looking it up (in the UK a ruck is something that happens in the sport of Rugby). Please can you provide some information about how far you walk, what pace and what weight you carry.

Fantastic progress - I too have a bunch of clothes that I am hoping to fit into soon.
-
Amazing achievement - and a wonderful smile!

Great tip about getting rid of larger clothes - i did not do that on my previous two big losses and the weight crept back on. All too easy just to reach for the larger clothes if they are still in the wardrobe - having to go out and buy new ones would be far more powerful reminder that things are slipping. I am hoping…

Thanks for the progress chart - it looks like a nice steady loss but maybe with a few plateaus. I think you are a great example of taking things steady and having faith in the program. I have never managed to keep to it for longer than three months so I will bookmark this for inspiration!

I have a bunch of nice, long sleeved cycling tops which are currently too small for me. I am hoping that, by the time it is coll enough to wear them, I will be able to fit into them without looking like an oversized sausage. Last Autumn/Winter I wore the one top that fitted ok on every ride I did. I think my ride mates…

Inspirational! - I would be really interested to see the one year progress graph of your weight loss. It would be very useful to see how your rate of loss changes across that period. Well done again - you look fabulous in your after pictures.
-
Great work - fantastic that both you and your partner are losing together.

I was planning to go cycling after pigging out for a month and looked like a stuffed sausage when I put on my bike gear. That was just over a week ago and I have lost a few pounds and feel much better - hopefully I can keep it up.
-
Well done - that Whole 30 plan looks hardcore but your results speak for themselves - great work!
-
Fantastic loss - well done for losing while trying different things. Would be interested to hear more about your alterante day fasting - do you eat anything on fast days?
-
Fantasic work - you sir are an inspiration!

To get back into my 36" jeans - 38" now comfortable after getting a bit tight just after Christmas
-
Wow - that is a great loss - well done!
-
Thanks - great progress - thanks for inspiring me today!
-
Thanks for the update. I am the same height as you and the same age as you were in your original posts. If I can lose and keep it off like you have I will be delighted!

Well done on your weight loss. I think that you and your mother are probably the best judges of what weight is sensible for you. I have lost and regained a few times over the past years and had friends who would speak up when they thought I was losing too much but were silent as I regained - I wish they could have flipped…

I want to feel fitter and get into a bunch of clothes that are just a bit too tight to wear at the moment. I reckon another ten pounds will get me to that point and targeting mid-February
-
Great work - do people still recognise you? Thanks for the inspiration.
-
Great job - please can I ask how tall you are?
-
Awesome - congratulations and thanks for inspiring me!
-
You sound a bit disappointed - it might not be as much as you had hoped but averages 1.5 pounds a week which is a great rate of sustainable loss. Well done - hopefully what you have learned about nutrition will allow you to carry on eating healthily and reach your long term goals.

I started doing kettlebell workouts by following Bodyfit by Amy on youtube. This is a good starter workout but she has plenty of others https://youtube.com/watch?v=076353c2Hik I also do Kettlercise workouts which are a bit tougher (and not so much fun)

Please share how you did this - was it solely diet or exercise as well?

Great work!
